I thought it looked * horrendous, majorly cringed at it. Stopped dead, full momentum.

The other thing that needs to be remembered about Julien is he already missed a lot of last season before clattering the post with a back problem.

It was discussed as being complicated and I remember him posting videos of doing all sorts of activation and coordination type drills and exercises. Injuries that require that sort of recovery are really awkward and can also flair up at anytime especially in someone as tall as Julien. Obviously just speculating but I wouldn’t bet against this having a role to play either.

Good point. I'm 6ft 6 and the back issues iv had are right *. Although the last year I seem to have mostly cured my lower back pain by sitting on a recliner chair. Seems to put my lower back in just the right position to remove any stress and think its finally allowed it to heal properly. Discovered that with a zero gravity garden chair I got so went straight out and got a new recliner with similiar position and thank christ its worked.

Doubt its that easy with big julien though :56: if only.

That's now a few windows where we've gone through thinking we don't need to buy another center back as he'll be back soon.

I think now is the time where we should be getting in another center back. We only have CCV, Starfelt and Welsh. Bitton should be nowhere near an option at center back and Scales is struggling to cement a spot at left back.

I don't want to be in a position in central defence that we have experienced in our front line. I know people will say that it was an anomaly having 90% of our forwards out but if you take our center forwards alone, we had three injuries (GG, Ajeti and Kyogo) all at the same time. It only has to happen to two of our center backs to cause a huge crisis in that area of the team for us.

    This.

An injury to either Carl of CCV puts stress on our defence, and injury to both would be a * crisis imo

I'd love to see a new CB in.

    Just in case.

Julien has been out for so long theres no telling when he'll be ready, im mean READY as in 100%.

We should definitely be looking for 6 month loanee for cover.

He loves a SM post to keep him in our thoughts.. :56:

Hope it's genuine, I sill think we need a CB in the window, but actually think Welsh has been excellent when called upon recently seems to have really upped his performance levels..

So if Jullien is fit after Jan, then we could be ok with CCV, Starfelt, Welsh, Jullien an Bitton utilised if necessary.

Just think, regardless of how he recovers, we should bring in Souter from diets regardless. Low risk.

Given he is out of contract in the summer Souttar will be available on a pre contract from January. He is a risk given his injury record in recent seasons but would be a solid signing if we got him IMHO and if it was a January pre-contract situation it would be for free next summer.

Feel he is a player that gets built up after his odd good match and his howlers get ignored. I imagine he will end up at a low end Championship team where howlers are part of what the fans expect.

That is great news for sure. His height in both boxes will be huge for us given how much of a weakness that has been for us. Maybe we see him on the bench for the game against Hibernian on the 17th.
