Sutton was a proven 'Superstar' with Blackburn & all of Europe knew about his partnership with Shearer. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just that the Chelski system didn't suit him, hence it didn't work out for him.
Where as, this lad was pure PISH !!!!!!!!!!!!!:56:
Also, it's daft, comparing some half baked player to the legendary Chris Sutton !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:celt_2:
Oh, aye, Henke was pish with Feyanoord, so U're saying this lad is the next Henke !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:56:

    Hail Hail:shamrock:

No its pointing out just because he was pish in the prem does not make him pish.

Veron pish in prem world class in Italy, Kezman pish in prem great all other leagues , the list could go on and on.

The lad has talent , pace ability to score goals look at his record at all his other clubs and International level . take it that means he is pish ? well ?

I see alot of ppl righting him off because of his stint at Birmingham who play in the premiership which is a hard league, even the likes of Forlan, Shevchenko and Crespo struggled in that league and they are/were world class players!

Chucho is only 24, so hes still young, is a beast of a man and has pace to burn. With the chances we create he would score plenty. He also plays for Santos, one of the biggest teams in Mexico and probably South America and i would assume that the standard is pretty decent there. From the teams i know from the past and present the likes of Cruz Azul, Monterry, Atlas, Pumas UNAM and Necaxa there must be good comeptetition!

    Wouldn't pay more than £3m.

He will occupy defenders with his pace and power, but he was pretty poor in front of goal for Birmingham last year.
And he had chances to score, too. If you can finish, you can finish in every league.

I've never seen you give a ":50:" to any player.

Benitez would go down a storm in the SPL; fast and strong. Would be good for Europe next year as well, that kind of pace is very dangerous on the counterattack.

    Canny see it TBH.

Twitter's got a lot to answer for.

He's not that good I don't think, fast as * - but remember Henri Camara? Speed without finishing ability is nothing & I think he's more Camara than Bellemy.

I liked the look of this guy when he was a Birmingham.seemed to be one of those players tho who just couldn't score but don't let that put you off cos plenty of top players are like that.look at forlan ibrahimavic and kanouti if you seen there scoring record at there previous teams you prob wouldn't want them

Anyone think Juarez could be part of a deal going the other way? I like the look of Benitez, with the low standard of spl i think he would be excellent for us!

I live in Ecuador, and this guy is a good player. He didn't deliver at Birmingham though, but I think that with the right coaching, and if he fits in well with the team, he would be a very good addition. Scores some amazing goals, & was top scorer in Mexico

There's a bit about him in this article as well. I would love to see him up here to be honest. I've seen quite a bit of him living down here, and he's very highly rated on an international level. He's technically skilled & very fast. Scored a brilliant goal in a friendly match Ecuador vs Mexico recently. Plus, if he signs, all of Ecuador will be Celtic fans! That's the way it is down here. Right now everyone supports Man U because of Antonio Valencia.

I thought he was outstanding at Birmingham, quite surprised his goalscoring record was as poor as that. I would be slightly concerned about the lack of height in our strikeforce with him and Hoops up top but I suppose Hooper does hold up the ball very well and Benitez is built like a tank. Also, I agree that Benitez would absolutely destroy defences in our league.

Strong, fast, low centre of gravity and decent scoring record outwith EPL, both for club & country. Take him!!!
Here's hoping Juarez can tell him how wonderful it is to play for Celtic, er well maybe... :icon_mrgreen:
