Lived down in stoke and had a few friend who were birmingham season ticket holders and they loved this guy's all round play he just lost confidence in front of goal, but they all think if he knocked in a few goals he would be flying.

 

think it will be a great move. I talked to a couple of Birmingham fans who said that they would have him back in a heartbeat. He may not have scored a lot of goals for them, but he was a good player.

This would be a HUGE signing! The guy is an absolute beast. Pace power and can score great goals!!

I am not interested in how he done at birmingham coz they are predominantly a defensive minded team and not known for the fluent football.

This guy would be awesome in a team like ours where we constantly attack and have the ball!!

Celtic have denied making a move for Ecuador international Christian Benitez.skysports.com can confirm.
Reports indicated the Bhoys had lined up a deal for the former Birmingham striker, who spent last season in England with the Blues on loan from Mexican outfit Santos Laguna.
The 24-year-old returned to Mexico last summer to sign a new three-year deal with the club and he has performed brilliantly since with 17 goals.
But a Celtic representative told skysports.com the club had no interest in bringing Benitez to Scotland.
The striker's British representative Barry McIntosh told skysports.com: "Christian performed really well for Birmingham last season and he is eager to move back to Britain."
Asked about possible interest from England, he added: "Clubs are obviously aware of him and his situation."

not interested this is the problem with celtic players that defo have the quality were not interested we sign unknown young foreigners or * championship players were better than that!

Good, can we now stop hailing this guy as the messiah and move on ? It was a non story to begin with, don't believe everything you read in the press.

We were never in for Benitez, I.e. This was nothing but made up media pish.
