Same for me. I find myself agreeing with most of his opinions, most not all. He's great. :celt_2:

Interview would have been sensored and appear diplomatic in my opinion

Hard to deny it now, even if (imo) he was still highly over-critical at points.

    In denial about Ronny :56:

This is the same Chris Sutton that said he has never been angrier or seen Celtic playing poorer than they did in a 2-1 win against Astra.

He is a complete and utter *. And this is coming from someone that loved him at Celtic and thinks Henrik (and Shearer for that matter) wouldn't have been the same players without him facilitating them on the park.

Don't confuse being forthright in your opinions as calling a spade a spade. Roy Keane is the same, they are both knowledgable about football and both dry and passive aggressive to the point they take everything too far.

    Reasonably articulate.

    Clearly still a Celtic man.

    Knows his stuff.

Calls it as he see's it.

And I've agreed almost entirely with what he has said.

    Really like the guy!

Some folk need to grow up and understand that he is not a Celtic player any more. He is a pundit. He is paid to give opinions on TV... and it may be the case that you might not like those opinions. You just have to be big brave strong bhoys and ghirls and deal with it!

He is not your ex. He has not betrayed you. And he is not paid to nurse your *-hurt.

I think he was rightly angry, we were a riddy in parts under Ronny in Europe, schoolboy defending. How many times did we let a lead slip?

People who went overboard attacking Sutton and have a hate * for him now was just because they had hope for Ronny's grand vision, not what they were watching at the time.

The thing that's always had me wondering, is why we have so many high-profile ex-players who are only too happy to take money from newspapers to badmouth the club after they've retired?

I can't really recall it happening much with the Huns? I know Barry Ferguson was doing a paper gig for a while, but even when they were at their lowest ebb he wasn't putting the boot in to the actual manager and players, was he?

They never do. I suppose they don't have to or feel the need to... Whereas ours maybe do. That still doesn't make it right or sit well with me..

Sutton can be funny and RIGHT but he's been an * for a while now. Going way overboard on everything at the minute. He was embarrassing during the first leg of Hibs game at Easter road and I'm surprised he never threw himself off of Leith bridge. He did make an * of the panel in the return though..

Still haven't forgiven Hartson fully for his Dens Park riot article..

Walker is a *, so much so that our captain and Lenny previously have felt the need to mention it..

Provan I've never liked and again he's been picked out in the past by player's. Broony again recently..

It's not popular but Charlie Nicholas is still my favourite. He is choca block with the Epl and sky (must be worth a fortune from Sky) and the main man on Gillette with Stelling, but speaks from the heart and never hides what he is..

Only time I've agreed with him and Hartson is after the Malmo game.

They have made a career out of slating us the past 2 years. Rightly or wrongly. It's a bit sad.

Can anyone give me a couple of examples of when he has 'bad mouthed' the club?

I like the big man, but for me he's one of the worst pundits out there.

He was right about Ronny... But seemed to attack Ronny with an over the top amount of venom..

However, when you look a the performances he put in as a Celtic player, it's hard to blame him after some of the * displays under Ronny.

He and others may have been right about Ronny, but the way they went about tearing the guy apart in the media was * shocking, especially for ex-players.

Like I said, you never see a former Hun player doing that in the papers as a regular columnist, do you? If we'd been found to have been cheating to the extent that they did and went into freefall the way they did we'd have had ex-players ripping us to * in every redtop in Scotland.

The Huns though? Not so much.

    It's not just papers.

It's a fact that our former players will always try harder and the opposite is true of ex Huns.

All you have to do is look at our games against Motherwell over the last decade. Bob Malcolm and Stephen Hughes would have been as well wearing a straight jacket and welly boots against the Huns whereas Skippy and Mick are running through brick walls to beat Celtic. Bob Malcolm tries to score an OG for the Huns, Mick tries to snap Bitton's leg, the difference shown patently in those 2 incidents alone.

Just watching the Falkirk v Kilmarnock build up. Sutton just called McCall and Craigen "the miserable chuckle brothers" Thought the pair of them were going to burst into tears! :smiley-laughing002:

The only ex celt gone pundit that i've ever really disliked is Burley, as he was clearly sticking the boot in even when we weren't playing.

People are to sensitive though. Sutton sticks up for us during european games all the time, as does Provan

    Will always love Big Sutton.

He calls it as it is and genuinely wants the best for us.
