We allow players and also managers (see Eddie Howe) to * us about. We * about with our deals in or did do under that rat Lawell so accept it in return.

When was last time we were interested in a player and told them to make up your mind or * off?

Do we just ignore how long it took to get Jota over the line?

To be fair, that was all done and dusted a while before it was announced. He just went on a world tour to celebrate first :56:

Just wanted to create suspense for the announcement.

Any idea if we are still in for Cho?

Tbf I think Nisbet would be a hunskelper if he was playing them with the likes of Jota and O'Riley around him. Generally he's been pretty good against them while playing in an inferior side. Causes them problems and has scored a few.

I see him as a Leigh Griffiths type signing, more than likely will do a job for us in Scotland but would need better un Europe..

I'll be raging if we sign Nisbet and Cho.. prefer we bought one top striker with the cash and if needs be play Maeda up top if needed..

Anyway I'm sure Ange knows what hes doing

TBF, Starfelt had that done to him and got rattled. I'm not sure if the army clubs in South Korea are supposed to toughen the players up, though.

Iv got no issue with how Starfelt has come back from that. Theres a few out for him but he has done well for us and has become steadier as time went on. Almost akin to how Kelvin Wilson rose to prominence.
Im doubtful with Cho having his other career in modelling.. i wonder if it would become a conflict of interest.
If he were to get roughed up in a derby match, would he apply himself as much as someone without modelling incentives?

Could say the same about Giakoumakis really with what he’s gonna be going for. Don’t think the club would be arsed about that

Previously, I've held my hands up about Griff, and then GG. Two players I didn't want for different reasons.
I thought Griff was on a off pitch liability (which he kinda was, but I thought he was an *, not someone with mental health issues), and I thought GG was a bang average player with a rando season of good fortune.

I refused to hold my hands up regarding Viduka. He stank from day one.
His * us about during the transfer, sat in the stand during a rangers game giggling with his wife while we were being horsed by DerHun, then did a runner back to Oz claiming he was too stressed to play. With more than enough reason to claim his bs cost us the title that year.
No to mention his "seventy percent" *.

I see the same toxic, self indulgent, I'm too good for Celtic from this eejit.
So like Viduka, he can bang them in all day long, and do the job he's paid for, but I would never risk one of my nephew's or neices getting his name on their top.

Even if he wasn't declaring that we were a last resort option, his garbage about not being fit should set alarm bells ringing.

I reckon if his attitude was as stinking as you're making out, Ange would have him nowhere near the club. But if the big man is wading through all this * and is determined to get him in, there must be something special about him.

Not a fan of the soap opera this has turned into granted, but if we sign him then he gets my full support. The way it should be.

If we don't get him...* him didn't want him anyway.

I don't reckon that would be the nuts and bolts of it.

Ange / scouts identify the player. Nicholson makes the overture, when were given the go ahead to speak to a player, Ange calls them up to tell them where they fit in his plans, to get it over the line.
That's certainly the impression I get from past stories from new signings under Ange.

I doubt the Cho deal has reached the Ange phone call stage.

It's more likely Ange has been aware of him, told Nicholson to get him, and that's as far as it's gotten.
It's also worth noting Ange is a different beast. I don't think he would give a * whether a player is acting like a my little pony. He'll be confident enough to drill it the * out of him.

    Still don't want him though.

    It's noteworthy that:
    a) we negotiated with Jeonbuk's Technical director (JS Pak) in London. Reportedly, our 2. bid wasn't immediately rejected, and that usually means negotiating with the player can start.
    b) Jo admitted that Svensson, Mainz's manager had spoken to him, but said nothing of Ange doing the same.

It sounds weird we'd have persisted with the interest if we hadn't been allowed to speak with Jo. We had looked at Wlodarczyk, Hamulić, Almasi etc., but only Jo created significant reportable activity and attracted our bids. But also, why wouldn't have Ange spoken to Jo? Mainz manager clearly did. And it's not like Jo or his agent clearly stated they refuse to deal with us. The only comment of Jo's about Celtic had a positive bent.

I agree with you that Ange would shape players into the correct mental state if they came with traits that were undesirable.
