Apparently he's at Swansea, doing his coaching badges. Saw that on a Korean football forum. But there is a chance Gyu-seong asked him about us, and I hope the response was glowing.

Cho Gue-sung's club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors hope to keep the striker until the summer, Football Scotland can reveal.

The striker has attracted interest from Celticthis season and the Hoops are among a number of clubs seeking to sign the player. Cho, 24, has already admitted his interest in moving to Europe to play his football but sources in South Korea have told Football Scotland that his current club in the K League want him to stay until the end of the season.

That does not rule out Ange Postecoglou'sside or any other club making a bid for the player but Jeonbuk are not prepared to budge unless their valuation of the player is met before the end of his contract.

We also understand there have been NOoffers officially put forward for the attacker who notched two goals at the World Cup in Qatar at the tail end of last month.

We told you previously how Cho opened up on his desire to move to European football to face off against the world's best.

With Celtic he could potentially do so in the Champions League group stages and he said: "I haven't heard anything about European clubs.

"However, as a player, I naturally have a dream to go out on the world stage and face world-class players.

Entering the European stage has been a dream since I was young. I want to go to any place where I can improve my skills and grow.

Said he has nothing concrete offer wise yet but wants to sign for a team who will guarantee him game time. Apparently looks like what his dad was saying was either lost in translation or *

CELTIC target Cho Gue-sung has revealed he will decide which European team to join after weighing up who will give him guaranteed game time.

The South Korean World Cup star has been strongly linked with a move to Parkhead and the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors striker has also been mentioned with a switch to Fenerbahce and Rennes.

Cho became the first South Korean player to score two goals at a World Cup game when he netted a double against Ghana in the group stages.

And, in an interview on South Korean channel Yonhap's 'Saturday Wide' programme at the weekend, he underlined how he would choose his next move.

Cho said: "Rather than dreaming of signing for one specific club, for me, being able to play every week is the most important aspect of any move and that's what will influence me.

"But I can honestly say there is nothing concrete about a transfer yet."

And Cho revealed the story behind a World Cup bust-up with Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo when his country faced them in Qatar and the former Manchester United star was delaying his departure from the pitch after being subbed.

He said: "We were in a situation where we had to score one more goal against Portugal and Ronaldo was being substituted off.

"He was being slow so I walked up to him and said 'faster' in English to him. I wanted him to get off the pitch quicker. He wasn't happy.

"There were many people who thought what I did wasn't acceptable, but I wanted him off the pitch as quickly as possible because I was desperate to win.

"I really enjoyed the tournament and we all got a great reaction when we returned home to the airport."

Ffs… going and calling it so early. What a *. He’s not listening to his dad, guaranteed game time, you want guaranteed game time, then stay in the K league. Ffs.

Boy's head is screwed on tight. Many promising players went for big clubs or big money, only to rot away on the bench or lose continuity through neverending loans. I wish him luck, even if we are unable to guarantee him the game time he wants.

I can understand him wanting to go to a club where he's going to play regularly, but Johnston's comments about Ange telling him that nothing is going to be given and he'll have to earn his minutes suggest that Cho's unlikely to get those kind of 'guarantees'.

Depends on how much faith the boy has in himself.

I think conversations are different to how they’re portrayed in the media as well. Johnstone will probably have been told that JJ was for the off and that we were actively looking for a replacement to provide cover and there would be plenty of chances for him to show his worth.

If Ange has had the chance to speak to Cho, he will be told the same thing. I’m sure of it

Good luck being "guaranteed" gametime in you're first professional move.
