Can’t see us selling him for 10+ anytime soon so maybe might just break even when we do sell eventually. Similar fee to the one being talked about for Giak

He’s actually only 17 seems like he’s been around for a while right enough, must’ve been in the colts team at 15

World Cup Star' Cho Gyu-seong (25, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors) is progressing smoothly.

European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported on his social media on the 11th (Korean time) that Cho Kyu-sung has received offers from Celtic (Scotland), Mainz (Germany) and Minnesota (USA).

The best-looking offer came from Celtic. Celtic proposed a 50% resale clause for a transfer fee of 3 million euros (about 4 billion won) and up to 6 million euros (about 8 billion won). This means that if Cho Kyu-seong is sold to another club, he will give 50% of the transfer fee to the Jeonbuk club.

Minnesota United, an American Major League Soccer (MLS) club, also wants Cho Kyu-sung. Minnesota added a 30% resale clause to the transfer fee of 5 million euros (about 6.7 billion won) for Cho Kyu-seong. Compared to Celtic, I paid attention to the current value.

Lee Jae-sung's team, German Bundesliga Mainz, offered only a transfer fee without any options. It is close to the transfer fee of 3 million euros proposed by Celtic, and is known to be about 2.5 to 2.7 million euros (approximately 3.3 to 3.7 billion won).

The club that shows the most active appearance is Celtic. When Celtic announced that Mainz was closest to signing Cho Kyu-sung, they immediately raised the transfer fee. Adding an option to it is shaking the hearts of the Jeonbuk club.

If there are no further suggestions, what remains is Cho Kyu-sung and Jeonbuk's decision. There have been reports that Scottish Rangers, like Celtic, are also keeping an eye on Cho Kyu-sung, but it seems that no official proposal has been made yet.

Cho Kyu-sung showed his presence at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Cho Kyu-seong, who replaced Hwang Ui-jo (31, Olympiacos) as the forward striker, drew attention by scoring chase goals and equalizers one after another in the second group match against Ghana. He also received worldwide attention for his handsome appearance.

First of all, it is known that Cho Kyu-sung is thinking of entering Europe as a priority. It is a story that there is a high possibility of going to Celtic or Mainz unless Minnesota offers more unconventional conditions. There is still time before the January transfer window closes. I wonder where Cho Kyu-sung and Jeonbuk's heart will move

What's the script with this up to £5.2m this mean if we punt him for say 15m down the line it would still only be £5.2m we hand over it and not £7.5m then?

If his final goal is epl then he will probably pick Celtic as it’s more of a gateway to their than Minnesota

Obviously seems unconvinced and hesitant whilst hoping a so called better team comes in, I'd be happy to drop the interest and move on to someone that wants to be here.

Too much of a saga going on whether it's him his club or agent etc ....too much foreplay for my liking

I understand that probably most if not all of our signings, particularly from the European and Asian markets, will ultimately have their eyes set on the Premier League.

But it * irritates me when they come out and vocally discuss their desire to do it. If that's your end goal, keep it to yourself and work towards it. All of a sudden you question their commitment to the cause a little bit.

Nothing wrong with having ambitions and goals to push himself furtherif he comes and we get a few good years he plays well enough to earn a big move whats wrong with that?
