To be fair, it’s quite common for schools to exclude Irish teachers from their hiring process in Korea.
I saw some job ad for a Korean language school literally say “no Irish teachers, on behalf of their drinking problems.”

And yeah, they do generally hate the Japanese, well the older generations do anyway…hundreds of years of war crimes and kidnapping their women as * slaves will have that affect!

I’m sure younger footballers couldn’t give a * though, young Japanese and Koreans tend to get on well when they meet overseas!

It’s not a in the know thing you hear things from people that you pass on. If it turns out to be right then great, if not then unless they claim to have a direct line to Nicholson I don’t see the issue.
