Having signed Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Alexandro Bernabei and Benjamin Siegrist in June 2022, we report a total investment in the player registrations of £38.4m for the financial year. Post year end, we completed the permanent signings of Sead Haksabanovic and Aaron Mooy alongside the temporary transfers of Moritz Jenz and Oliver Abildgaard.

Any news on the other two Korean lads we were linked with, I know they were maybe more for the future but they both looked promising?

The club are in a good financial position, we will turn an OPEX loss of last year into a pretty decent profit this year as CL (including tickets) was worth around £20m more to us than our EL performance the previous year.

As @Blochairnbhoy says we haven’t spent a lot this financial year Haksabanovic at £1.7m but sold Julien for about £800k and Johnston at around £3m but will likely sell Juranovic, Ideguchi, Giakoumakis and possibly others this window which would more than offset fees even for all three Koreans and still leave us with a good profit for potentially more additions or summer signings. If the £2.2m figure and £1.8m for Cho and Oh is accurate then I would suspect the midfielder we were linked with would be even cheaper.

Not to forget a decent chunk of cash for the Sydney Super cup rumoured to be worth between £5-6m.

As for the other striker, who would only become viable if GG leaves that seems to have hit a serious brick wall with his club saying not a fecking chance he is going anywhere!

Pleasantly surprised by this, thought it wouldn't amount to anything after the initial reports had gone on without any follow up. Obviously nothing confirmed yet but looking good.

From the games I saw at the World Cup and highlight reels I think he'd be absolutely perfect for us. Similar to Giako but a bit more technically assured. Hopefully another more project type like the other South Korean boy comes in too if Giako leaves.

I agree only problem is if another club offer more than us and it gets accepted. There's a few top clubs interested in him. The sooner this is done the better. Can then focus on other areas
