no better than the young lad we have on our booke Carey who was on loan at St mirren . so if we take Mulgrew based on free kicks and corners its stupid as this lad is just as good on our books already.

But Carey is a midfielder and Mulgrew plays LB the position we need to fill badly

no carey plays left back, but he can play winger aswell, kind of like how uruguay are playing with wing backs :50:

no carey is a midfeilder who played a few matches as a makeshift LB because st mirren had injuries and i remember hearing them say on the radio that he was * at defending

Would like to sign Mulgrew :50: Decent defender who can bomb forward and can whip in a good cross and dead ball. And if we're not paying a penny for him...why not??

Mulgrew with Misun providing compitition at LB sounds no so bad tae me.

    Strongly disagree.

His attitude is another reason why we shouldn't go anywhere near him. His attidude has already cost him his chance at Celtic and as you say he thinks he's too good for Aberdeen. Anytime iv seen Aberdeen it's him that's generally at fault for the goals they lose. He's one of the worst full backs in the spl yet people just wanna ignore this because, 1 he's free, 2 he can hit a free kick 3 he a tim.

Scotland havnt had a good left back in over 5 years, how many caps does Mulgrew have?

If he's not good enough to get into that pishy Scotland squad then he's no where near good enough for Celtic

looks like this deal is likely - McGhee has told him to grasp his 2nd chance at Celtic so if the Aberdeen manager is saying its happening then its more than likely that it is

I think he'll be decent if he signs, usually plays well against us & the Huns.

Plus there's quotes from McGhee telling him to make the most of his 2nd chance. Sounds like he is definitely coming and we might see it finalized by the end of the week.

McGhee hopes Mulgrew makes the most of Celtic return - Press & Journal

Would be an ok signing, left back on a bosman, just hope he is second choice and we go out and bring a better left back in also.

all i can say lets see what players lennon brings in and hopefully they all gel and we can get the best out of him i personaly think he unfairly treated by strachan he was the most upcoming player in the reserve game he was a start in the makeing and strachan made a bad call and sold him
