    Haha. sorry.

Seriously though, i didn't know he was 6 foot 3- this means he has a fiar chance of sticking his heed on the ball surely. If he learns how to tackle and as others have said, how to hold a position then this with his skill and bal abilty could make him into an all round player.

We don't even know for sure he could actually be backup

    has he actually signed....

for the comments of rather than have him than not....

    I'd rather not...

The squad can only be so big...and doesn't need dead weight
If we sign Mulgrew why would the board sanction the purchase of another LB after...
We have Misun and O'Dea has played there before

Actually I'd prefer either of those to play ahead of Mulgrew at LB

O'Dea is a bomb scare. He could not get in the Reading team when he was on loan. I think that Mulgrew has proven over the last couple of seasons that he can perform well in the SPL.

I really think people should stop being so negative about him signing as I think that he will sign in the next few days. Lets just say it really sounds like he will be a Celtic player definately.

I for 1 will support him like I do all new signings to come through the door at Celtic Park

Don't think he is good enough tbh. And this people saying "he's a tim." As if it makes a diffrence. Celtic fan or not he isn't good enough. Can a hit a free kick and that is all that has really impressed me.

The minimum pre-requisites for a modern fullback are pace, defensive ability and endurance as it is the most physically demanding position in modern football with them covering on average 13 Km at pace in a match at the top level. Technique, passing and crossing are then added to the top guy's i.e Ashley Cole etc with the very top having it all. This guy does not posess the minimum attributes therefore he is simply not good enough. Allan Hutton is a good example of maximising the minum attributes and this is the type of player we need at LB not * Mulgrew, tim or not!

Hot and cold for me is Hutton ,he can attack the wing with no problems but lacks a bit of positional sense when defending ,Mulgrew ill be honest ,he is someone that doesnt do it for me ,maybe Celtic could change him and he might come up to scratch but i would prefer a seasoned pro in there ,it has been a headache of a position for Celtic to fill in recent times.

I know I dont have the required experience or anything to be a scout, but what are our guys getting paid for? Why doesn't someone advise Konchesky? (Might have spelled his name wrong) A realistic target and is an established premier league left back, good at defending and a real threat going forward! Is Mulgrew an improvment from Fox, Naylor?
