He's been scoring pretty much a goal a game for the last couple of months.

Good going for a 21-yr-old - but then League One is not necessarily the best indicator...

gary hooper wasnt really potential he was a proven goalscorer for a couple seasons when we signed him but i know what u mean and this lad would be much more of a gamble than hooper but in all honesty im all for it because if we signed him we would have stokes hooper austin as our strike force for potentially 5 yrs with another experienced striker comin in every 2 yrs or so if they 3 get consistency it could see a decent future for our strikers................................. its a big if right enough, point is i support young signings that can hit the first team as soon as they sign

Every club In Europe or even the world wants young players who could get into there first team thats why the transfer fees are so high, what we need is potential and our strikers and midfielders all have that I personally would only strengthen if we can get experience as that's all our team is lacking, players like Freddie who have been there and done it as our team is so inconsistent.

Watched him tonight, 2 good goals, 1 perfectly good goal chopped off. Missed a sitter, but wouldn't mind us snapping him up.

i think a blend of experience and raw young talent is pivotal your right but on our current squad we have a good number that have experienced big games and are fairly experienced pretty young sammy 24/5 wilson 26/7 mastorovic 65 (ha) brown 24 ledley 24 freddie 33 maloney 28 plus the management team all have enough experience to see out 1 - 0 tight games away to dundee utd or someone like that its more european experience they lack and the way some of our yougsters performed yest at ipox ,if lenny can get that consistently then guys like austin could be coming to a squad more than capable of easing him into our winning mentality:50::50:
