I'll try and not get into it too much because it's not really relevant but of course it played a part in some people's minds, you only have to look at the pathetic reasons some people gave for not liking Strachan which didn't hold up at all, to know there was something else going on behind it.

But we still have to play Hearts again too and we look more likely to drop points. Rangers were shakey at the start of the season with their losses to Malmo and Maribor and their draw to hearts but now they seem stronger than ever whereas Celtic are horrible to watch these days.

True but we get to visit Tynecastle and Ibrox only 1 more time, and surely our form will have returned by then. While R*ngers have had it easy so far, their only true test was against us,they got Hearts away twice and us twice at parkhead. The league is far from over imo.
Edit,i dont think they're stronger than ever either, they're still playing pish and being very lucky.they're just in a strong position on top of league is all.

By stronger than ever I mean that their sum total seems to be greater than the sum of their parts. Considering they missed out on just about all of their first choice signings they are doing great. Celtic really should not be having to rely on the other teams so early on in the season but sadly now we have to. The loss ratio is now 1 in every 3 league games and now hand on heart can you really see Rangers making a * of it? I can't. :(

We need to get a settled team on the park, just look at all the disruptions we've had, losing the likes of Izzy, Brown and K. Wilson has caused us problems.

Like it or not but we definitely need a class centre back, Big Dan, Loovens, Mulgrew and even Kelvin Wilson are not really up to it, if we have spend our entire budget on one class centre back then it must be done.

I also think Neil needs to get certain things sorted out in his own head, keep playing the Hooper & Stokes combination, it's our most effective pairing, stop * around with Samaras because he simply ain't interested enough, he is just a lazy *.

Ach there is hope and there has been a lot of injuries but no more slipping.

BTW while I do think the manager should be judged on football and football only I think its way out of order those who are using terms like GTF etc. I dont think any Celtic manager deserves that level of basic disrespect.

I'm glad to hear you say that lol :50: surprised, but glad! :56:

i agree though we really cant afford any more slip ups, certainly not before the next rangers game in december; whether our bhoys are up to it is another queston.

Hopefully, the injury situation will ease before we play killie. i'll feel a lot more confident when kayal, brooney and ledley are back playing together. :50:

Managed to break out the vortex of football dispair! No more slips through because if we ended up even a further 2 points behind then that would surely need some sort of record breaking comeback.

There is no doubt in my mind that post-Xmas we looked a good side with only a couple of defects. Its just so frustrating that we have the same problem/weak positions in the team and now injuries and hints of some players taking the strop. Last seasons team was three players away from being a really good side - a monster CH, the option of an aerial striker who scores and a good goalie. Still that way IMO. Its a shame because I do think Mathews and Wanyama are good players too but they are not in the positions we needed most.

He has got to turn it round by Xmas, and pull back the points defecit. He has made mistakes in selelctions no doubt. But if he can Kayal and Ledley back into centre of midfield and Hooper and Stokes up front then maybe we can get on a wee roll of wins.

The people who have suggested he should gtf or worse are a disgrace to the club. By all means criticize and demand he leaves but show a little bit more respect. The guy stood by the club all the while getting death threats and assaulted. Im glad he has shown a bit more fortitude than some on here.

Good on you Murp-E. :50: One thing is clear, Neil Lennon is our Manager, and until he says otherwise, I'm totally behind him 100%. As for the punters shouting for Owen Coyle, he had his chance, before Neil Lennon, and said he wasn't interested, said he had such an affinity with Burnley, in 2009, that he couldn't bear to part company with them. Then hey fecking presto, up pops the Bolton job, and he's out the traps, like a feckin race horse, all the way into the Bolton hot seat. First interview, " I couldn't resist the Bolton job, and I want to test my skills in the Premiership." All this crap, from the man who claims to be a die-hard Celtic fan, as Tommy Burns used to say, "you only get one chance to manage Celtic".
The only chance I'd give Owen Coyle now, ............ is no chance. You knocked us back, when we needed you, you don't', or at least, I wouldn't, and couldn't turn my back on one of my lifes greatest loves, and that love being Celtic F.C.
I still stand firmly behind Neil Lennon, I still say he's the right man for the job, ......... don't worry though, all you doubters, Neil Lennon, will always be a winner for Celtic F.C. Wait and see the end result, before, you try, and kick him right in the baws, as a Celtic fan, think again, before you shame yourself, get behind the man, he needs your support now, more than ever. Decide yourself, who want to support ? Do you want to hold hands, with the same rodents, who issued this man, and his young family, with death threats, do you want to hold hands with the scum, who evily vilified this guy, who physically attacked him. Do you want to sit at the same table as Keevins, Traynor, Leckie, Chic Young, only to name a few. I know, who I'm supporting, the Manager OF Glasgow Celtic F.C., the one and only Neil Lennon. :ynwacelti We, will win the League this season, with Neil Lennon, as our Manager

I thin Steve Mcclaren could be the right man for the job, but Roy Keane would definietly get results...

He's looking like he's starting to crumble.

Some quite strange things going on, with players dropped etc..

    * was the thing with Zaluska in then out straight away? I mean *?

Don't think changing the Management team will help as much as some think, the Board have to take responsibility too.

We keep hearing Rangers are rank & on their knees, here we are 10 points behind with them going for 4IAR.

Not that long ago, we were pretty much in their position with 4IAR in the bag...
We bottled it & we've been bottling it ever since - through 3 managers.

A lot more has to change at Celtic PL(F)C, than just the Managaement team - we've been down that road before lately, without much success.

Not saying Sack the Board, or the Managment- maybe just both?

You're right, ultimately if Lennon goes nothing will change whilst we are run by a shower of charlatans.

Aye, but he's not helping himself either is he?

Both have to bear the blame for this shambles.

    Lennon & Lawell.

Nah he's not, his team selections and tactics have me scratching my head time after time.

The problems run even deeper than Lawwell, IMO. I reckon he's only carrying out instructions from above.

I never buy fully into this. They are on their knees...off the park.

On it they have the best keeper in the league and have pulled another 2 centre halves out their * once again.

Why can successive Celtic managers not have even the slightest inkling that maybe building from the back is the way to go? You don't have to sit 10 men behind the ball like they do at times but just buying in quality at the back so that there's an insurance when you're going forward.

I think Mulgrew has grown into a quality player but a converted left back is what we have in comparison to the captain of America and a proven European talent in Goian. Those 2 brought in whilst they have the square root of * all and still we sign more midfielders and forwards and only outlay a signing on fee for a bosman from the Championship.

    Utterly, utterly crazy.

think not just a change of managrment but a change at the top too as for dermot desmond not to appear at a agm for a few years now is disgraceful for the major shareholder and if he doesnt appear at this agm i think the supporters should start to question this guy .

You're preaching to the Choir mate.

I don't even buy into the fact that Rangers are on their knees off the field, never mind on it.

But Celtic seem to think so.

Maybe, we're buying CB's from agent's from an unknown league, in an unknown team, from an unknown Universe & Rangers are going out & signing * that can head a ball & tackle?

Not really asking much, is it?
