There is nothing to suggest he would.

Lennon is an infinitely better option as Celtic manager.

Why do we need to change management?Things are not as bad as some are making out.Win our game in hand we're 7 points behind,we've played at Ibrox and Tynecastle whilst the hun have yet to visit Parkhead and Tynecastle, thats a possible 12 points they could drop.Changing management would be suicide,Lennon is the best man for the job.

So Nottingham Forrest's failed manager is better than Lennon? Seriously?

The guy is a complete and utter trumpet I wouldn't want anywhere near Parkhead.

Look at the nick of the guy...

I'm with KEVG here. How can people say there is nothing to suggest he would win anything at Celtic?

Winnin the Dutch league with the 3rd/4th best team is astonishing.

However, I do agree our fans wouldn't take to him. Collectively we have a sad habit of valuing demeanor over technical managerial ability and McLaren wouldn't last the first minor blip.

P.s. it's easy to say he failed at Forest, but from what I've read and heard the problems at that club - only a fraction could be attributed to the manager.

Steve McClaren shouldn't get another job in football, let alone here. Let Leyton Orient or someone sign him instead. :56:

Tell you one thing. With McClaren as manager you could see Marc Janko signing as our much needed target man! Wasn't McClaren his boss?

For as much as he was great with Twente, he didn't have a very good time with Wolfsburg. I'd prefer Stale Solbakken.

now thats where your wrong . i do like him but i think he should never have been given the job by the board . cant blame him for wanting it . we all would . but a rookie manager at celtic isnt clever and i think we are paying the price for it .

parading a fans favourite as manager was always gonna keep the fans happy for a while . i also believe the board havent backed him enough and my gripes always been with the board not neil.

look I don't dispute that McLaren has had some success on the continent, fair play to him; but if he couldn't handle the England job (quite understandable it is a tough job) how the * can he be expected to handle the at times downright unreasonable demands of the Celtic job?

and for the record I think Roy Keane would be a terrible appointment

i dont think we are unreasonable. i think personally though the lack of success in relation to a very poor rangers team is unacceptable

fair enough but thats not the way most mangers would see it; in this job a draw, never mind a defeat is seen as a disaster. to the wider footballing world it is unreasonable. and obviously some of our current team haven't quite got their head around that concept yet which is mostly to do with inexperience.

it is unlike any other football club in that regard.
