I reckon we'll beat them at Paradise like we have done 2 or 3 times before (maybe more than that?)

We'll probably get beat at the Camp Nou but as long as we score i'll be happy.

We have completed the 14th most passes, more passes than Real Madrid, Man City, Arsenal, Milan, PSG, Porto, Ajax and Dortmund among others.

We have completed the 8th most crosses, more crosses than Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Valencia, Juventus, Milan, Ajax, PSG, Dortmund and Porto among others.

Obviously we have 4 points from 2 games too. Great start

 

I'm normally optimistic but realisically were looking at 2 defeats from these games and the Nou camp game we could get slaughtered. They will want to wrap this group up and this game is their perfect chance.

 

Barca are actually the perfect opponents for us though. Someone like Dortmund or Madrid would be far more dangerous to us.

Barca are a (much much) better version of us because they like to keep possession and pass the ball around looking for an opening, rather than breaking really quickly or playing down the wings.

The way they play is the way we play in most of our home games, they won't be coming at us all guns blazing for 90 mins, they will just be patient looking for the perfect pass like they always do.

We are almost certainly gonna lose the game but I really can't see us getting beat 6-0 or anything like that.

 

Why is 2 points not an option on the poll? with barca's defensive injury woes I could see us stealing a 0-0 at the camp nou and then holding on for another draw at parkhead.

For me i think we are going to lose twice to Barca, at parkhead it may be close but i can't see us getting much, hope i am wrong though.

The crunch game is away to Benfica, we cannot lose over there. In fact it may be better for Celtic if Benfica beat spartak twice, so that coming into the last game the Russian side has nothing to play for and Benfica will be playing barca at the nou camp.

That means before we enter the last game Benfica would have 8 points, we would have 5 points.

By winning the last game and Benfica losing we would both be on 8 points, but Celtic would go through due to head to head record if we get a scoring draw in Lisbon.

Thats how i see Celtic progressing.

Thing is that I think that Barcelona will lose points at some stage, but unfortunately not against us.

To be honest, I would already be happy with only win at home against Spartak. At least it should secure European football after the winter break.

 

How do you know? We've got a home game against them, something benfica don't.

 

people on saying myt get a point at home to barca etc

people getting carried away after are cracking result in moscow

but in truth we will be lucky to get a point in next few games and thus far have down very well

 

Because we need to play them early and I think Barcelona is more likely to lose points once they are sure of qualification.

I also still believe we are the underdogs in this group.

 

Spartak are the firm underdogs of the group now.
