What would be an easier group? As fourth seeds this is just about the best group we could have got. Obviously if we had Milan instead of Barca it would be brilliant but even still a pretty great group.

They play for CFC just to reach the EPL. No love for CFC as deluded fans think

Well, I am satisfied. It could be worse, just look Real Madrid, Oil City, Ajax and Borussia Dortmund. I believe we can finish at least in 3rd position and play in Europa League. We are great at Parkhead, so I believe it guarantees us 3rd place, but who knows, everything is possible, just remember APOEL.
I believe in my Celtic, our fans, our players.
I am looking forward to watch us in CL.

I think we can really get through this Moscow and benfica are favourites but they are nothing special.

Obvioulsy I want bus to progress but it's our first year in a while with an inexperienced/young squad so it will be very tough.

Group A: Porto, Dynamo Kiev, PSG, Group B: Arsenal, Schalke, Olympiakos, Group C: AC Milan, Zenit st Petersburg, Anderlecht and Group H: Man Utd, Braga, Galatasaray.

All 4 of those groups would have been easier for us, however on the positive side we could have had 3 harder groups, including the group of death:

Group D: Real Madrid, Man City, Ajax, Group E: Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk, Juventus and Group F: Bayern Munich, Valencia, Lille.

Reading back over this thread and I can't believe people were wanting the group with Real Madrid and Man City! That would've been a nightmare!

Some prefer glamourous opposition over enhanced chances of progression for our club unfortunately I'm afraid mate.

have some respect. make no qualms, it'll be a tall order to finish 3rd. from 2nd to 4th it's going to be close.

    I loved Lennons interview:-

Reporter : Do you think your aiming to finish 3rd.

LEnnon: NO were aiming to win it!

    What a guy

Win, Lose, or Draw I am just happy to be back in the CL, I will be delighted if we get 3rd place, remember we are still building up a good young squad, this year is about getting the players experienced in europe and bringing in money, next year if we can get back in we will do the same thing, by then we should have been able to get our coeficient to a level where we can expect to be in every year and then we will start reaching for the later stages

Reading that Man City are ready to snap Benfica's midfielder Javi Garcia for £24 million. Can't i've seen him play but for that price am sure he is. Good news for us then am guessing.

I think it is a decent draw.Forget Barcelona......its a 3 team group, and i believe we could.........that is, could, finish 1st or 2nd in that 3 team group. We will not be favourites to do so, but we definitely could beat them both at Parkhead.......which has to be the target.

it's a very close group minus barcelona, i reckon we should be able to beat benfica and shakhtar at home, giving us 6 points, i can't see us getting any points off barcelona at all, an away draw or win against spartak or benfica would be awesome but the CL is so * hard
