We're on the verge of the last 16, so yes. My feet are on the ground.

Going by European form alone, we've played 9, won 6, drawn 1, lost 2. If you offered me that or the 17 points we've dropped in the league, I know which one I'd take.

Whaaaaaaat? If you can afford it, why have any second thoughts? I have been to CP alone dozens of time. Granted, it is better with mates and travelling alone is not great, but being at CP without mates for such a big game beats sitting in the pub at home to watch the game with mates any time.

It is a great opportunity to meet new friends as well.

    Just go for it! :50:

    EDIT:

Just saw your post here. Enjoy the trip!

I see your point but we are only on the verge of the last 16. It is still a tough ask to beat a russian side with a point to prove in the last game. Ultimately our CL Campaign could be a heroic failure. If we get to the last 16 it will be a success

Was just looking over the the stats from their first match in Lisbon. Surprised by how few shots Barca had, even less than Benfica. Still w/ 79% of possession. I suppose the fact that Barca were on the scoreboard after 6 minutes played a part.

    Benfica Barcelona
    10(7) Shots (on goal) 8(5)
    23 Fouls 14
    8 Corner kicks 4
    0 Offsides 3
    21% Time of Possession 79%
    4 Yellow Cards 2
    0 Red Cards 1
    3 Saves 7

Thought I'd already posted it in this thread. I guess it was the other. I would've preferred to see Emery continue until our game is over. This may spur the Spartak lads into a bit better form.

It can only be a negative for us that the Spartak manager was sacked. They are only going to play better than they did under Emery, I mean they couldn't be any worse put it that way.

Was just watching a bit of our match w/ Benfica. After they went ahead, Wanyama took a decent shot that the goalkeeper parried. Commons proceeded to take a shot from an acute angle on the rebound. If he only lifted his head, he had an easy lay off to (a wide open) Lustig inside for a real goal-scoring opportunity. Commons needs to kick this 'shoot first' attitude.

Odds of Celtic winning have actually shortened since Emery got the boot...

We did ok... Had some offensive football, but should've pushed harder for the goal, the attitude wasn't fully there.

A Benfica fan I chat to sometimes said they went 1-0 up then just closed out the game.

Couldn't try that against us though could they :50:
