Jeez, Sporting would've been better off in the Uefa Cup.

Only major shock of the last 16 was Liverpool beating Madrid so comfortably.

I am getting sick of the UCL. It could be the same final as last year. when has that ever happened before. how can you call it a champions league any more.
The English teams are dominating the competition every year now and the rest of Europe are going to switch off soon.
for the last 3 years now we have had 3 English teams in the semis, how can that be healthy for the sport.
Until they decide not to seed teams in the draw, we are constantly going to have this problem. With UCL and Sky sports cash, the English teams are going to get stronger, strong enough to beat any other teams in Europe apart from themselves., this we know wont happen though due to the way the draw is set up.

it is already hard enough for the likes of a French or Portuguese team to compete and improve never mind a Scottish or dutch team. with continuing with this format we will start to see.
the money fall from these countries as well.

In the future we will have a European league full of the top 4 European footballing countries only, the TV companies of those countries will have a big part to play in the decisions , lets face it, the sport is now money driven and Blatter and co will have no option but to bow down and let it happen, especially if they don't change the system that we have in operation at the moment
