Think you're underrating Gladbach. They beat Bayern 3-1 last season, then drew with them away. Also beat Schalke and Wolfsburg. Finished 4th after a poor start to the season and a change of manager.

I can't for the life of me see why people actually want us to be in the hardest group possible. We've literally no chance of progression now if we're being honest and pragmatic. The chances of more investment have just been diminished because of this group, because even with big money beyond all expectations being pumped into our team, what then are our chances of progressing? Lawwell won't spend big if it means going from having no chance of advancing to the next stage to having very little chance of advancing.

Would people honestly want to see us getting beat 6-1 by Barca rather than us sneaking a 1-0 win away from home against Basel?

I'd rather Celtic be in the last 16 over Celtic making up the numbers in the group stages, any day of the week.

Cant see us beating Gladbach away.

Our European record has been honking for years, where is the sudden confidence of beating a top German side in a cauldron like atmosphere?:56:

The best thing that could have happened, Brendon will demand money from the board
if we had got an easy looking group the team would have stayed much the same, he will have to spend big time if he wants to have any chance in this group, we need a big name
to compete with the big boys, come on CELTIC.

I agree mate, I would rather have had Real Madrid. But the build up to the Barca games will be superb.

Its the CL even the easiest group is going to have some monsters in it.

Third place is a reachable target.
No point in going into these games with a poor mentality and inferiority complex.
We have got Brendan Rodgers at the helm and a good squad of players, and hopefully one or two quality additions added now. These glamour games will raise the profile of the club, and give our players a good standard to measure themselves against.
Everything to play for.The main thing is we give a good account of ourselves.

How many points do you reckon it'd take to get us into the EL? You never know against City at home, Gladbach at home and possibly get a draw at Gladbach away we could get around 7 points. We got to hope Gladbach lose all 4 games against City and Barca.

Exactly, every group we play in will give us the challenge some folk seek, but some will give us a more realistic challenge than others. Besides there isn't going to be an empty seat in the stadium wether it's Barca or Bucharest on a CL night.
