Well it must have something to do with the flag if you've quoted my post :smiley-laughing002:

I'll go for the cross on the flag? Ahh, is that St George's cross on their flag?

I love how this has descended into a conversation about Malta of all places...we've got a Champions League game in two nights! Get it together! :smiley-laughing002:

Malta is just a magical place. Has that effect on people :50:

Back to the game, my only thoughts right now centre on hoping that we have enough players left to field 11 players and a full bench. Nothing more.

In all seriousness would I actually like to visit Malta sometime. From what I've seen it looks a very nice place. Might go there next year actually. How warm would you say it gets in Malta during the summer? :icon_mrgreen:

Well most of us Maltesers would usually look to hightail it out of here during the summer because it gets so hot (highs of 40ºC in the shade during July and August). But I suppose you British people like that sort of stuff. Pasty white men and women laying in the sun all day and then turn into lobsters. They seriously fascinate me because I tend to avoid it like the plague. :smiley-laughing002:

But I think it's a great place to visit if you want to have a great summer experience (all day swimming and partying/boozing at night) at least this is what 90% of foreign students who come to "learn" English do during the summer. Plus alcohol here is considered free by most people because it's so much cheaper, especially when compared to the UK. So I think you'd like it :86:

Yep. Malta was awarded the George Cross for services to Britain/valour during the Second World War, and the RUC got the George Cross for services to Britain in 2000.

Wasn't even that ignorant from him tbh :smiley-laughing002:

450,000 is still a pretty low number.

Is it, aye? It's more than Icelandic, Faroese or Luxembourgish.

Maybe so, not that I know much about my languages but I'm just saying the guy didn't deserve to be called '* ignorant' in my opinion.

Can see Celtic getting a point here, possibly as much of a chance as we will have in Amsterdam. However, a good performance from Milan and we will be swept away.

    Realistic: 2-0 Milan
    My Prediction: 1-1

Celtic can't be too far away from that?

Will have to miss this due to a funeral. Hopefully can get the game downloaded without finding out the score afterwards.

    How many speak Irish?
I would assume alot less than 450k, which is terrible for a native language with a population of 6million when you think of it.

And im not one to talk, as i only know the basics of it.
