Milan will be tough. They beat barca recently as well.

With a bit of luck and a solid defensive performance we have a chance to get something from the game.

I think we'll score at least one, we are far more game savvy going away from home under Lennon than we have been in the past. Anything we do get is a bonus though, Milan will be seeing this as their easiest game in the group which will hopefully backfire on them.

Will be interesting to see if he can get Samaras & Commons into the same time.

Commons is vital to the way we play in general at the moment, but his lack of defensive work might see him left out for such a tough away game.

Samaras has to play, purely because of his recent European record, and general ability to get us up the pitch.

    I wouldn't be against a sort of '3-6-1- formation.

Milan will win, dont know what score, dont know who will play for them or us, but cant see Celtic getting the win, would be fantastic if we came out with a point tho.

I would genuinely tell one of our players to try and wind him up. Not a very difficult task for whoever has it either. We have a great chance if they go down to 10, and he is a prime suspect for seeing red.

Not sure about that, might * him off and rip us apart. Just frustrate him and try and make sure he's never open for a pass.

I always say the same when it comes to Balotelli, "he will lose you more games than he will win you"

Get him wound up and watch the toys come out the pram :icon_mrgreen:

Like the look of that side, maybe Commons in for Boerrigter, give him the last 20 mins or so, use some fresh legs to run at them.

Me too. He's far higher class than some of the guys we've really struggled with too. If Vic were still here, I'd have played him in defence for this one; as it is, we don't have anyone strong enough to handle him. As I said before, our best hope may be for Broony to wind him up so that he loses it.

He's been different since he went to Milan. Looks like he's screwed the nut.

My initial thoughts were 'when did this get moved to a home game?'

For me, the three key games are the two Ajax games and the home game against AC Milan. To get third we need 6 points from those three games IMO. I'm not expecting any points from this game or the two Barça games. Like someone said earlier we can use this game (and arguably the next game at home to Barça to identify and work on our weaknesses at this level (and arguably also to get our players up to speed at this level). We always seem to struggle in our first game as it takes the players a game to adjust to the higher level.

Broony should get a wee green & white mohawk strip stuck on his nut... and then proceed to wind him up just like he done with EHD.. I bet Balotelli has never played against anyone with the mindset of Broony... :smiley-laughing002:
