How can you possibly say the opposition was better all over the field we were better than Milan if it hadn't been for mexes and de jong we would have won that. I'm comparing Milan to hearts but I can compare the final ball from the 2 games and there is a clear difference against hearts we put in some world class crosses tonight was terrible either to long or to short we never once put the ball into a decent area

we do seem to have very bad luck and it does seem to happen more to us than any other team, but tonight against a multi million pound milan team we matched and bettered them for long periods.yes our final 3rd could have been better but we now have a couple of more players up front to choose from. when a milan player says they were lucky then you know how far weve come from utrecht.

    I'm not picky.
I think the only times we looked a wee bit lost was just the final ball. I'm really glad we kept possession and knocked it about; trying to find that pass to finish a move off. That was so much better than a style of belting it upfield from the back and just parking the bus. If we could only have found that final ball and Milan weren't so lucky then we would be talking a different story.

It's a real shame for the team to play so well, especially Ambrose and van Dijk who were solid, and come away with a loss.

Very disappointing in the end- I think Milan were there for the taking and they were very lucky tonight but at the end of the day we just were not ruthless enough in the final third. I thought Samaras was poor as well- he didn't do enough for me at what he is good at- running at the full backs and cutting inside just outside the box and getting the ball into the box. Perhaps that was down the Milan defenders but I felt he was not brave enough going forward and instead was playing it safe on the half way line passing the ball along the middle. Out with the great run and shot he had it was one of his frustrating and anonymous nights and he gave the ball away a few times too.

Over all I am happy with the team- we were the better side for long periods of the game and I think we're are capable of picking up points against Milan at home and Ajax and with a bit of luck get something off of Barca as well.It is just frustrating to play so well and to have nothing to show for it at the end of the night.

We were very poor tonight, a bit logical with all the injuries. But we manage to win, which was the most important thing, the 3 points are a good beginning for the last 16. It was maybe your best chance ever to beat us, with all our best players injured. But, even with these injuries, you didn't manage to do it. I thought you were a bit better than this. You have some qualities, but it's still very weak in general. The third place seems to be your place in this group.

Painfully obvious. From the very first minute I was saying "we need to take our chances or we'll get done."

    Heroic failure, once again.

You're asking for the storm of criticism that's about to hit you. Just sayin'.

How pathetically arrogant, especially considering the manner in which you won.

You do realize it was only the bar that saved you going down a goal and a deflection that got you your first.... right?

No doubt the provocation is part of why he's doing it. The Juve fans were the same. Crowing thinly disguised as ordinary post-match analysis.

You were lucky to win at home against a side that is renowned for being poor away in Europe. You're *. We may finish 3rd, but Milan are definitely set for BOTTOM of the group. :bbpd:

Never mind tonight. Celtic more than deserved a draw, we were very unlucky both to concede and not find the net.

It was great to hear our fans singing right till the whistle

After a real dull 0-0 draw with Benfica in our opening game last season, nobody fancied us for 2nd. I'll keep the faith again this season :50:
