I couldnt give a rats what mourinho has done or not, klopp has won nothing with liverpool since he took over(2015 ?)thats hardly the record of the best manager in the world.

On top of that he spend 160+ million in tranfares(premiers biggest spenders)which helps.

Eusebio Di Francesco done it last year for Roma would you say he’s a better manager than Pep?

And he’s competing with city who are spending even more. Pep has far greater resources at his disposal.

Obviously not but Pep is a proven failure in the CL, he’s failed ever since he left barca time and time again, first with Munich and now City. I know everyone loves the guy but im taking Klopp over him every single time.

Klopp hasn’t won a trophy with Liverpool.

3 finals and 3 defeats and finishing behind Pep’s City in the league again.

    But Pep is the failure.

Are folk seriously saying Liverpool are outside the Etihad asking for change? They're owned by.. oh who gives a * who it is but they're not running out of money like barbed wire ran out of patter :56:

And yet despite not Klopp winning anything (yet), Liverpool fans worship him. They know how much he’s improved them. As I said above to the other poster the resources at Pep’s disposal far outweigh other clubs, the money he has spent is astronomical. Yes, Klopp has also spent money but he has also improved so many players - Robertson, Matip, Henderson etc. Also I never said Pep was a failure in domestically, but in the CL, which you conveniently left out.

Not at all, Liverpool are loaded too but city are a different kettle of fish, also Klopp has improved more individuals than Pep has.

This will be the first final since 2013 that doesn’t feature Messi or Ronaldo.

I also blame the dayglow kits. They seem to be bad luck for every team, everywhere they are worn! :fear:

Barcelona were * shocking. Sad to see. Sergi Roberto at right back is never a defender in any league, and the boy Arthur should be playing every game.

Don’t understand why they went there and tried to protect a lead. Only time they had any intensity about them was the last 5 mins.

    Just seen the highlights. Wow!

Incredible to think our own big Virgil is in the CL final and possibly might be a winner and is a genuine world class footballer and might just be the best defender on the planet.

Also incredible to think Andy Robertson is in the same position (minus being the best defender in the world) - who was let go from Celtic for being too small, then has worked his way up from being a part-timet with Queen's Park to Dundee Utd to Hull to Liverpool.

Brilliant. Absolutely delighted for both of them, this is definitely going to be Klopp's year he wins the CL. What a guy

I'm trying to say money isn't a judge of manger when it comes to big clubs in the EPL.

I would have to see a list of who Klopp has improved vs Pep.

Like Jock didn't improve players talents, he improved them by putting them in the most suitable position. Pep did the same with Messi, by far he didn't improve him but creating the False 9 position was a stroke of genius and it destroyed everyone in sight.

I've already said in this thread I love Klopp and his philosophy of attacking football but I don't know if he's done anything so revolutionary.

Right now I'm not sure who I want to win the final. I'm no fan of Ajax but a huge fan of developing young players and fulfilling their potential because this high finance isn't just the cause of the end of life as we know it but it's the cause of the disregard of dialectical thinking.

We are in the same situation as Ajax, we need to get our coaches travelling the world the same way Brendan did because he knew that if the best midfielders who can pass and move are all coming from Spain then maybe the Spanish have worked out a system and he was right, Swansea lit up the world.

Why are we connected to every brilliant team in history? :43:

Neither of them are failures. They are 2 of the best managers in the world. Both huge successes

It's an interesting dichotomy especially because it was St Ninians football team that kept him going initially after that. It was obviously a blunder but on the other hand a good overall set up that saved his career. Not trying to gloss over it, just appreciating the positive. Hopefully take something out of Ajax's book now, we have to keep focused on the development because loans are mostly chasing shadows.

I still don't know or understand the reason why Park left and Congerton replaced him, is there any comparison in the quality of unknown players they scouted?

Ayr United would have beaten Barcelona tonight. I moved more watching it than Messi playing. They couldn't have looked less interested.
I have watched the three semi-final games so far and all of them have been *, full of players giving 60-70%. it's criminal. There's no competition and when there is a chance of a competitive game some players can't be arsed. The game has well and truly gone, yet the media will be giving Klopp a bukkake for the next week.
Fair play to him though, he seems a nice enough fella and doesn't take himself too seriously.
