Fans of any big, successful club are fickle and spoiled. That isn't unique to Real Madrid.

How so?

 

Mocking there goalkeeper who has played for them in nearly 800 games and who has also won every trophy under the sun, waving white hankies even though they qualified for the next round..

 

But maybe I'm just being biased because I dislike them very much

 

There are very few players in world football who should be exempt from fan criticism, but Iker Casillas should definitely fall into that category. An absolute legend and role model for both club and country, the abuse he gets from sections of the Madrid "fans" is disgraceful.

I can understand them having a go at Bale and Ronaldo for underforming (Bale) or acting like spoilt brats (Ronaldo) and even having a go at the team in general for an under par performance (e.g. Shalke), but to pick out Iker Casillas who for years has been captain of both club and country and lead both admirably is idiocy.

 

He is a snake who is the leak to the press in that dressing room. He was finished 3 seasons ago and if he was any sort of man he would have realised this and him playing was having a negative effect on the team.

 

What a load of utter nonsense What exactly has he been leaking to the press and where exactly is the evidence of this? Just because he is in a relationship with a journalist does not make him a snake.

In the past 3 years he has won a European Championship with Spain, along with a Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Fifa Club World Cup, La Liga and Copa Del Rey with Real Madrid. Barely a huge negative effect...

 

It was common knowledge that he was like the leak to the press during Mourinho's reign. He has been finished for ages, you know it and i know it.

 

Like McDonald was when Strachan was in charge.

 

There's a big difference between "common knowledge" and rumour. This would fall under the latter as it has never been proven that Iker leaked anything to the press. Casillas and Ramos were amongst a group who stood up against Mourinho as they believed that he was disrespecting the values of the club - something that I'm sure most fans of a club around the world would appreciate.

Casillas' trophy haul in recent years goes to show that he's not "finished."

People seriously need to get over the Lichsteiner thing. It's a riddy to see people still bring that up. I mean fair enough he's a cheating * as are about 100 players I've seen play against us but it wasn't as if his cheating was reserved especially for us.

The quicker we accept and come to terms with cheating, the quicker we can start to deal with it on the park. Then we can do without the big hard luck story after almost every European exit it seems. Harsh I know but it happens to everybody and is unfortunately part of the game whether you are Celtic, Udinese, Toulouse or Grimsby. He saw an opportunity as he knew after about the third time that the ref was never giving a penalty in a million years so he kept going. I'd have done the exact same thing if I was wearing a Celtic jersey.
