Didn't think the game was that great tbh...

If it was 2 English sides they'd be getting slaughtered.

Decent game. Couple of tasty battles and some decent football. Suggestions in some Spanish press that Carvajal bit Mandzukic before he dug him in the ribs 2nd half.

I think Ath Madrid will be happy with the result. The Schalke game shown that Real are susceptible on the counter, Ath Madrid are very good at soaking up the pressure and can counter very well. Griezmann and Torres combined well in the Copa Del Rey encounter earlier this year. Pepe got a sore time that night.

Has the makings of a cracking 2nd leg.

Good game I thought, particularly when Atletico came back into it 2nd half.

Sets up the next leg nicely, no idea what will happen there.

I don't think you do. I can remember Robben walking off the other side of the pitch when Holland were about to get knocked out of the last Euro's. I just don't think you see it that often.

The one at the weekend was * * as well, terrible effort and even worse goalkeeping.

I think I heard he had hit more than 50 before that since he had last scored one.

Atletico to me looked like they played for a 0-0, sat very deep, never really tried to attack and where happy to run the clock down throughout the game.

You have to be good enough to make it this far in the competition though. None of the English sides are good enough to be in the quarter finals.

I never mentioned the champions league.

Was talking about 2 English teams in general.

Hoping for a PSG win but a few big players out for tonight, hopefully they'll at least get a draw.

How empty is Porto's stadium, shocking.
