    "They're not a great side"

Aye, but believe it or not...neither are Arsenal.

They looked OK at the back but still gave Arsenal plenty of chances and they should have taking them. Ramsey hitting the post, Giroud hitting the cross bar, Sánchez from the cross, Özil's free kick etc. You could see that Arsenal are the far superior team out of the two, so who knows what the next level up will do to Monaco.

Monaco struggled for goals in the Group Stages as well, getting only four goals. Their defence is nothing special going by tonight (although they had a good record in the groups, but it was a group lacking good attackers). I thought Jardim was good at organising teams, but the defence did look jittery and nervous with each Arsenal attack. These two things combined aren't a recipe for success at the level they now find themselves at. A team with less naivety than Arsenal in the next round will take them to bits.

Monaco could be in a bit of bother if they draw Madrid, bayern or Barca out the hat in the next round. Very poor side, and I think one of them could take a lot of goals off them.

    Glad Atletico went through.

Leverkusen would have been food and drink to Barca, Bayern, Real or probably even Dortmund/Juventus or PSG.

Just seen the Leverkusen penalties. Çalhanoğlu must have been watching Forrest.
