Before the semi finals I wanted Dortmund to win but Bayern played some superb football during the 2 games against Barca, so whoever plays the more entertaining football tonight will hopefully win the game, wouldnt like to see a game like last year where the winners didnt play any football.

Better to play poorly and win than play 'well' and loose.

Objective glory beats subjective, haughty whining about 'superiority' any day of the week.

It's best to win playing great football.

"There is not a prouder man on *'s Earth than me at this moment.
Winning was important, aye, but it was the way that we have won that has
filled me with satisfaction. We did it by playing football. Pure,
    beautiful, inventive football

Hasn't worked out for Bayern over the last couple of years! :smiley-laughing002:

I hope Bayern play the 'better' game and loose, then we can laugh at another year of pretentious, arrogant whining.

Dortmund 1-0 from a corner, or failing that, 5-4 on pens! :50:

Think it's working out pretty well for them to be honest. As well as Barcelona.

Why the Bayern hatred by the way? It's a bit odd.

Dortmund play brilliant football as well, so should be an entertaining game.

    Why would I hate Bayern?

Aye, loosing 7-0 has really worked out for Barcelona, they've been thrilling of late.

This whole football snob lark gets to me, Barca's whining after their loss at CP, Benfica's whining, it's all so laughable.

Dortmund play good football but they're pragmatic, as are Bayern. They're both of the anti-Barca school, defending, directness, counter attacking, in short, real football.

A victory for either would be a victory for common sense, humanity, even, but a Dortmund victory would be funnier as Bayern are the more arrogant of the two clubs.

I hope he doesn't get assailed by some crazed Bayern ultras! :smiley-laughing002:

What's the score as far as the violence goes? Widespread, isolated, etc, who's attacking who?

Couldn't agree more mate. I've been watching the Buundesliga for years now as well and Bayern have always been my 2nd team so everyone jumping on the Bayern/Dortmund bandwagon is quite annoying. Iknow a lot of Tims are Dortmund fans and have been for years but it's the one's who've just started to support these teams is annoying.

Barcelona for the last five years or so have been one of the greatest teams in history. It has worked out great for them.

Anti-Barca? No, Stokes of the anti-Barca school, West Ham are the anti-Barca school. Both Dortmund and Bayern play a system that allows them to adapt; they play possesion football; they can defend; they can counter attack. Both teams are great too watch; as are Barcelona.

I wouldn't call Bayern arrogant either; they seem really down to earth. The way they treat their fans is something every big club should take note of.

They've been sub par for the last two seasons, because their system is inherently flawed, unlike Bayern and Dortmund.

Bayern and Dortmund are not Barca-lite, they are completely different. They're pragmatic, they can defend, they can be direct, they can cede possession and hit teams on the break. Barca can't do any of that, they only have one way to play, when it's working it's great to watch, yes, but it hasn't been working for a good couple of seasons now.

They need to adapt or they will fade away. They arguably already have somewhat, the changes they make this summer will be pivotal to their fortunes.

Bayern have a superiority complex, they are easily the most arrogant club in Germany, it comes with the territory of being the best.

I'm not saying it like it's necessarily a bad thing, it's just a fact of life. Bayern are arrogant, their fans would tell you they've every reason to be.

Their system is the most successful in the history of football; their system has seen them sweep the board with everything over the last five years; their system is why Spain has had the most successful period in the history of International football.

I never said they were Barca-lite. I just said they were not 'ant-Barca'. Anti-Barca is defensive as * long ball football. Bayern and Dortmund are different but they are both of the mindset that they close down as quick as possible; get the ball; play their own way. They are far; far more adaptable.

Barca aren't dead however; they won the league this year. Last year they were very unlucky to be put out by Chelsea (you of all people should know that). The biggest slump they had this year was when they're manager was away getting treated for cancer and they had a scout in charge of them. Their football is 'still working' but no doubt they have some big issues to fix if they are to become the team they were 3 seasons ago now. Bayern are currently a far better side; I would say Dortmund are just ab it worse.

They won't need to adapt; they'll keep the same system. They just need to strengthen the side. Namely; by a couple of actual defenders instead of having Mascherano their.

Can you think of any examples of them acting in an arrogant fashion? Because like I said; they seem really down to earth and in touch with their fans. More so than any other big club.

I do admit the last statement sounds arrogant as * but the feeling behind it is about the fans. I wish more clubs would act the same.

Also; Uli Hoeness really * hates English Football :56:

Apparently Dortmund had 500,000 applications for tickets for the game tonight. Mental.

    Dortmund fans are incredible.

I hope they win. I really do but if they get beat; I hope it's 3-1 Bayern because I have a tenner on it :56:

I would prefer Dortmund to win because their supporters are amazing.

I'm not too fussed though and I think Bayern will win.
