I think we have played well. Morgan and Boli haven’t been on the bus. Brown and McGregor have been quiet. Forrest, Edouard and Elhamed have been fantastic.

 

Don't wanna get carried away or jinx him but very pleased with what I've seen of Elhamed so far!

 

They’re pish but we’re playing into their hands something awful. The pitch is massive, they’re trying to press us but it’s unorganised and instead of passing around them we keep playing it forward quickly with no one up in support, losing the ball and then outnumbered defensively on the counter.

Boli is having a nightmare.
Morgan looks lost with all the typical dirty European tactics at play.
Brown has been non existent in midfield.

Get Ntcham on and tell him to put his foot on the ball.

 

I thought Bolingoli looked pretty decent, but sadly he looks all over the place. All of planet Earth and we spend £3 million on a left-back that can't defend. Morgan is OK for SPL but decision making and final ball are shocking here. Also has a face like smacked * all game - his booking was an utter * joke though. The referees we get are thee * worst I ever see anywhere. Full Stop.

I thought Pistol Pete was our man at UEFA? He must have * some people off there; the amount of shocking refs we get. Probably doesn't pay for his round at the bar.

It's desperate days when I actively want Johhny Hayes to come on 2nd half.. Brown has been very quiet too. The play is passing him by too much.

 

Right call with the subs I think, Ntcham would do well in a game like this where theres space and the chance to play balls though to Edouard and Forrest.

Boli on a booking would probably be off with another foul as the ref looks card happy.

Need the left side sorted and Callum and Brown have to up there game . Can see them running out of steam in the second half and we can take advantage

 

For me Christie has been worse than Boli, I think it was his * shot that lead to the goal too.

Him and Boli have been passengers.

RB has grown into game.

 

He is 23 in a few weeks, it is time for him to move on.

 

After the early mix up, I think Jozo and Ajer have come onto a really good game. It's the FB's that worry me, especially Bolingoli. Other than that, I thought we've played quite well.

Edit: actually, that's a bit harsh on Elhamed.

 

Hayes on for Boli and Shved on for Morgan at half time, move Jamesy to the left of need be

 

Not so sure the way we have been playing. It wouldn't surprise me to see more goals at either end. This is the problem we face every year with a new defence in qualifiers. We never learn.

Ntcham to come on and he'll open them up as they look easy got at in to Christie wide open and down the flanks..

Edouard has played really well holding up again by the way..

They're moving the ball forward too fast, as are we. He's too slow for games like tonight.

 

Personally l think its poor management from Lenny regarding the left side. He must know Boli isn't quite right. Could have played it safer.

Way too open defensively. Have they never heard of keeping your shape? There's a knack to playing away from home in Europe and we just ain't got it. We should be looking to slow the tempo, win fouls, frustrate them and the crowd and above all play safe at the back and keep it tight. What do we do? Try an go toe to toe at 100mph as if it's a kick about down the park. Hayes for Boli and Bitton for Morgan. 5-4-1 safety first and be patient because we've shown we can hurt them.
