No sorry mate have to disagree with that plus we will get him for free, and his experience is something we need.

I think we should be aiming to bring in someone who's more of a long-term option than an aging left back who's never really been at his best when defending. He hits a mean free kick and offers fantastic crossing when he pushes forward, but defensively he's never been that great and I doubt he'd be getting up and down the wing with crosses like he used to.

Loved him at Arsenal, but he got forced out by Ashley Cole, not Van Bronkhorst. Namely because despite Cole's young age - he could tackle and had positional awareness.

Considering how young a team we have overall I think Sylvinho would not be just a good short term signing for left back but would also bring a wealth of top class experience to the team. Probably could do a good job for us for the rest of this seaon and maybe next season.

In one of the reports of him coming, cant mind who, but one of the barca lads said that hes not the type that would come here for a last pay day.

Im happy, I just want Naylor as far away from the first team as possible.

He would be a fantastic signing, experienced and still a cracking footballer.

would be a good signing in my opinion as long as he wasnt on big wages.

    He's solid useless tbh.

Being arguably better than Naylor isnt going to cut it for me.

    EDIT

He'll be Gravesen Mark II, all reputation, because he's coming from a big club, and be * and a waste of money

the guy is just what we need, an experienced player who's played at some of the worlds best clubs.

look at our defence, no experience whatsoever, plus he's better than Lee Naylor.

I don't know anything about this player and as I have rated your opinion in the past I want to know why you don't want him? Is he that bad? I remember the Graveson fiasco. I watched him on utube and thought nightmare!! Boy was I proved right. Despite what anyone says everyone is out for a mealticket and the likes of Celtic is a ripe setup for these over the hill types. I can also see the other side of the coin in that if he still has something left in the tank that would do us for another year it might help us to attain 4 in a row.

Anyone that is a Lb can fill that position rite now. I think we are just getting experience down that side to last us out for a few seasons.

It's in the NOTW so I'll remain sceptical until it actually does happen.

we have that arangement with barca so wouldnt suprise me. he is a good left back, unsensational but that will suit us just fine. brazilian full-backs tend to look after themselves anyway a la cafu, roberto carlos, belletti.
