Would have preferred Carrier Bag getting bumped to the seeds instead of Maribor as i would have taken Maribor before them. Anyway, 2 weeks down the line and if we turn up we'll take any of them!!

So how many coefficient points have we gained so far then from the 3 wins and a draw? How many will we lose at the end of the season?

Aye but you won't be saying that if we get through to the GS and draw them! :56:

I would say they were more deserved than the likes of the Russians mate.....Kiev and Shakter have been fairly serious Euro players for a while. The team that stood out from memory in that pot was Spartak who i think we have more than 2x coefficient points!! Was country used this year or is this the last?? can't remember

I agree with you on Russia too but the Ukrainian league is terrible nobody of note bar the above two yet Scottish winners have to play 3 ties. * mad they definitely have it in for us

I think I'd prefer a big team tbh , maybe Real Madrid sick of Barca anyone but them. I'd also like united, love to knock those out and I'd fancy our chances too

It'd be good to get one over Mourinho as well, although I could imagine both those games being really, really dull...

I think there's a bit of overconfidence creeping in again. Every one of these ties would be difficult.

Oh no doubt they'd be difficult, however we seem to perform better against bigger teams a lot of time. Especially English teams

Also if you look at pot 2 there's a lot of tough teams I'd probably pick an English team personally

    Who I want in order:

    1. Qarabag. They look like the "weakest" team based on the highlights from the two legs against Sheriff. Still no push arounds, based on previous meets. 6hr flight.

    2. Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Hot as *. Confident team at home and good enough to cause trouble for us at CP. We should be better over two legs though. 5/5.5hr flight.

    3. Astana. Murderous flight (7hrs?). Impressing knocking Legia out over two legs. Tough away game.

    4. Rijeka. Not very impressing against Salzburg. Have won their three opening matches in the league, all at home. Lost their star Andrijasevic to Gent. Still a strong squad. 3hr flight. Possibly good away follow to this game.

    5. Slavia. Just scraped by BATE. Will be a tight game. Their league is good, if the Czech league advance one more position in the coefficient ranking their champion will be directly qualified for the CL. Should be a good away follow to a game like this. 2hr flight. Under £2 for the best beers of Europe.

There is no easy games in the playoff round. Rosenborg proved to be a tough nut to crack and I suspect they are as good as two/three of the teams we can meet in the last playoff stage (based on no less than gut feeling :giggle2:). Great to see us being the best team yesterday, but we need to be more clinical in front of goal from here on out. We're the team to be feared though, alongside Olympiakos and København. Bring em on.

Don't care who we get ...just so long as we get through

Hate having to go through this every year.. yes our league is * but we are champions and so long as they keep leagues like ours away from the big prize money it will be very hard for our league and us to improve. Major overhaul needed in the CL

Champions league should be exactly that - CHAMPIONS ONLY + previous winner (even willing to go to last 4 included)

And bring back a Cup Winners Cup section .. this might make teams take Cups more seriously, especially EPL teams

Probably would be my preferred teams, in order

Qarabag: Didn't look that impressive against sheriff, trek of an away trip aside i think we'd win against them in both legs

Slavia: They looked ok against bate, but i know a few of their players and i know danny for them is especially dangerous, still winnable however and would be a good draw.

Rijeka: Dangerous at home, aberdeen result aside. Would not be confident of an away victory here but a home victory would be likely imo.

Be'er sheva: We played them last year and already know how dangerous they are, after putting inter and southampton out of the europa i'd avoid, although we'd beat them at home i'm sure of.

Astana: Really do not want astana, looked absolutely ruthless against a fairly good legia warsaw side, away trip would be * as well, winnable tie but would be avoid for me.

Tesco Carrier bag I remember they lacked height and we dealt with their set peices quite comfortably!
