I'm pretty confident going into these group stages. It looks as though we will be in pot 4 again, but looking at pot 1 we have a 3/8 chance of drawing a beatable team (Benfica, Spartak Moscow and Shaktar Donestk all pot 1 sides).

Pot 3 also consists of Olympiakos, Basel, Anderlecht and Besiktas.

Obviously none of those teams are mugs and they all have quality in their sides, but with a bit of luck in the draw and a few signings (Paddy and a CB) we might just have a chance at the last 16.

    Spartak Moscow
    PSG,
    Basel
Celtic - would be my handpicked group

Chances are we'll get: Real Madrid, PSG, Tottenham, Celtic

Can we get all the pot 1, 3 & 4 teams (obviously depending if we are 3rd or 4th seeds) because of the amount of English and Spanish clubs in it?

Surely the way it works they have to be separated giving us more chance of landing an English and Spanish team? or im i talking * here

5/8 chance of an English team and 1/2 chance on a Spanish if we're pot 4 yes

You've not mentioned Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Dortmund, Chelsea or Monaco as part of that group?

They play on a plastic pitch though, which would mean Jozo maybe couldn't play the away game.

Boyata will be back by then, so no issues with that.

    Must admit a lik
A like big Boyata as a defender,as well as that the big mans aerial threat last season as set pieces and corners is second to none
Even though Bitton 6ft 5 and 6ft 3 our aerial threat s non existent without Dedryk

Just had a quick look at the Russian league table. Spartak are 11th after 7 games played, 11 points off the top. Give us them please!

Athletico Dortmund and Monaco wouldn't be bigger than the teams I mentioned. I feel we could take the game to these teams. Juventus aside. Chelsea, you never know what you will get with them.

Whoever we draw - Paradise will be packed with an atmosphere second to none.

While it's great to see world class players and the biggest teams, I'd love it if we got a draw with a chance of finishing second or even third and going into the Europa league to keep the finance coming in.

    I'd like to avoid:

Real, Chelsea (mostly because of their scumbag fans - they're bound to cause trouble), Bayern and Juve in Pot 1.
Barca, Atletico, Man U and Man C in Pot 2.
Spurs, Napoli, Roma and Liverpool in pot 3.

Ideal draw - Benfica/Spartak, Porto, Basel

Nightmare draw - Real/Chelsea, Barca, Spurs

There's a flaw in that draw there mate haha

Worst case scenario would be Real, PSG, Napoli/Tottenham/Liverpool (Whatever Pot 3 side you deem most difficult)

Best case Spartak/Porto/Anderlecht. In saying that whenever we've drawn Benfica in our Group (3 Times) and all on all three occasions we've qualified for the Last 16.
