Celtic's Champions League season 17/18

Yep plus Barca are a bit of a shambles atm (By their standards anyway).

Won't be as daunting playing them as it has been in recent seasons.

 

Why the * are Celtic fans hoping we draw the teams most likely of pumping us.

 

I'm not, already said Spartak, Porto and Anderlecht will do for me.

But there are Celtic fans who love to see guys like C Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Griezmann etc grace Celtic Park. You can understand why to an extent as it's always a privilege to welcome these guys to Celtic Park and let them experience our unique special atmosphere.

I mean, let's face it, outwith our players the most exciting player to play at Sevco's ground this season will be Stevie May.

 

I agree mate, Leicester had a poor Porto, fc Copenhagen and Bruges last year id take a group like that in a minute
Whether they've got Messi n Suarez or ronaldo and Bale a don't get any pleasure in seeing us get pumped 7-0, it's * torture
Seeing ronaldo scoring against us and running about with his top off would scunner me to be honest
I like watching players like that but not at our expense

 

Agreed, every game is a glamour draw, let's win the group! We are nearly guaranteed one 'glamour draw' though.

 

By that you mean Pot 2?

 

We always do well against English teams, I'd take a lpool or Spurs , a know what your saying us on a good day like Wednesday night and Madrid or Bayern on a bad day definitely possible.

 

Only thing is Real Madrid don't have bad days atm, they're some unit under Zidane even when they pick up injuries and suspensions with Ronaldo and Bale.

I genuinely feel that we could beat ANY CL team at HOME this year with the EXCEPTION of Real Madrid. They're the only team I'd have zero faith in us defeating.

But I honestly feel we could beat anyone else this season the way Brendan is building the team, even Bayern, Juventus etc I feel we have a chance. We all know anything is possible on a CL night at Celtic Park.

Bring them all on. Every team is pish compared to us. Itll be nice to witness these * english sides camped in there own half.

I want to go to toe to toe with the best. I want to take on someone like Benfica or Spartak moscow from that top pot and completely outplay them and I believe that's a very good possibility this season. Apart from say the big 6 in Europe (real, Barca, Bayern, Man U, Man City and PSG) I reckon we could go toe to toe with all the others and do some damage.

 

So looking at all things considering if all ties go the way they should over next few days and we end up in pot 4

think if we draw Barca again i would be * off i am sick fed up playing them!

 

think we will get a good draw this time if we finish astana tuesday. sevco deadco are mega raging all over social media .HH.

 

I want as unglamorous a draw as possible to be honest. You just know if we get a Spanish team it wont be Barca this time though.
