That would be my choice on smaller pitches, I believe we must play more central on the smaller pitches.

At Parkhead and bigger pitches in general I'd go.

    ....................[RASMUSSEN ]....................

This is the point in having a player like Rasmussen (and sending him on - imagine starting !?!) IMO... In front, doing what he does best, fight down 2 guys, get the ball on the ground, back to the guys storming at him, pass, reposition... Sometimes he actually also just knocks hes guy to the ground, turns around and runs towards goal - that usually calls for a celebration.

Too many post on people not being direct enough or in the box. The point of the box is that it points out where the danger zone is - there we like to be, yes. You will have some good youtube clips by March/June if this actually happens... (still In My Colorblind Opinion - hence forward known as IMCO)

    ....................[RASMUSSEN ]....................

The thing about giving Keane a "free role" to setup himself up and get the best of the next x(x) months, sounds obvious in IMCO as well - and using the rest of the team and IMCO Rasmussen "to play wall with" as we say in Danish - directly translated :50:.

Kinda isn't a bad scenario in my clouded optics (IMCO) :)

The Danish press is worried about Rasmussens World Cup possibilities if he doesn't get enough playing time, now that Keane is @ Celtic, and obviously the man in focus (being Irish, A great player, getting the big bucks and all..).

    My 5 cents:
Let Keane be all he can be and let him enjoy hes football for once - calling it "a free roll" is a start!

Use your only box player - hes got a World Cup train to catch, hopefully. How many others in the squad got that carrot in front of them - no dis respect, just lack of insight (my appologies)?

    This signature is:
    ** blank on the first.
** + an idea about 2 players I definatly want to start and have as many minutes on the pitch together for the rest of the season (and forward hopefully if Keane stays) on the second.
** blank on the third as well.

    In short:

Boruc deserves dropped - Zaluska in.

Hooiveld and Loovens I believe can form a good partnership.

Hinel and Braafheid two good quality LB & RB, best in the SPL imo.

N'Guemo must be there to get stuck in and break up attacks.

McGeady & Maloney arguably our two best wingers, McGeady must work on end product.

Brown is one of our few midfielders that gets in front of the forwards and burst into the box. He also has alot of fight and we're missing that.

Keane plays better beside a poacher and that is Rasmussen.

    Zaluska
    Hinkel Thompson Hooiveld Caddis
    NGuemo
    Brown Crosas
    Fortune Keane Kamara
    ____________
    Boruc
    Loovens
    Naylor
    Ki
    McGeady
    McGinn
    Rasmussen

GK: Boruc has been consistently poor since his injury earlier in the season, if not before. Zaluska did very well when he came in and should be brought back.

DF: Loovens and O'Dea have been poor all season. Thompson has been impressive and the more he plays, the more he learns. Hinkel has the right-back slot for himself. Caddis has always impressed me and should play out on the left as Naylor isn't good enough and O'Dea not a full-back at all.

MF: NGuemo has been one of our best performers and should act as anchorman. Ki is still raw and Crosas should be brought back for now, and Brown will probably be Captain. I don't think McGeady has been playing well enough to stay in the side.

FW: Keane is the best player in the country, and although naturally a deep lying forward he could score goals and help set them up with Fortune and Kamara using their athleticism on either side of him.

    MY CELTIC TEAM.

I would be like Walter Smith, I would be in the stand and Neil Lennon would be my understudy(someone needs to kick arses), Zaluska,

    .....Caddis..................Thomson..................O`dea............Naylor

    .......McGeady.............Brown.............McCourt..................McGinn

    ....................................Rasmussen...........Keane..............................

That would be my Celtic team........4-4-2.......................................

And my reasons are simple, Zaluska, never put a foot wrong when he was between the sticks so why was he dropped for Boruc who doesnt anything right for the best part of 2 seasons.
Caddis is long overdue a long extended run in the team, he never does anything hard, keeps it simple.
Thomson, young, brave and always there.
O`dea reliable and always gives 110%.
Naylor great attacking option and very good crosser of a ball.
McGeady he always threatens, but needs to use his head a bit more instead of up in the clouds.
Brown, strong, always there, a bit rash at times, but uses the ball well
McCourt, he always threatens, and I would use him just behind the strikers and it would create a more fluent attcking option.
McGinn because again he`s young never knows when he`s beaten and a really good crosser of a ball.
Rasmussen would be my out and out striker as he would always be in the box which is where you want the ball to be.
Keane because he would just create that bit of unpredictability about the front 2 that would always create a surprise for the opposition.:shamrock::bbpd:

Forget my post this looks like a great line up! However I would make 2 changes Loovens for Thompson and Boruc for Zaluska but apart from that spot on!
