Said to my boy the keeper was showing too much goal and I was proved right so not too sure of him.Murphy needs to be let go,the guy just isn't a footballer.the boy up front in the 1st half looks too light for our game,I actually wouldn't mind seeing the boy who came on for him in the 2nb half bcoz he has plenty of pace so I'd like another look at him.mathews looks a tidy footballer and wanyama once he gets used to the style of Scottish football could be ok.its also time for brown to be sold,he brings nowt to the team except to run around, waste of a jersey.from what I saw tonight apart from mathews the rest aren't good enough for the 1st team.people might not agree but I'd go back for forster aswell.

Just shows how that we all see the game so differently. I thought stipe was good apart from poor positioning for first goal. Reminded me of a few Boruc used to concede where he stood far far too much to one side. Cha, Matthews and Mulgew were all good. Big Dan was fine until 60 mins or so where he seemed to just start doing everything wrong. Would like to see more of Twardzik as he impressed me at firhill and this evening. Wanyama looked good once he adjusted to the pace of the game. The game passed brown by. Maloney, murphy and sami had no positives whatsoever. Mphela had no service at all so don't feel I can pass judgement and I thought the Slovakian lad is well worth another look at. Big Murphy shouldve had him through on goal and he also came very close with a header.

Quite like Wolves. But they'll face a difficult time of it this season. Saying that, I'd take Doyle, Johnson, O'Hara and Fletcher. :celt_2:

More than matched them with our reserves almost out there IMO.

All 3 trialists were pish I though.

I quite like Wolves too, thought they were better than just avoiding relegation last season and should be fine next season. They were missing Matt Jarvis tonight as well and he's an excellent player. It would be interesting to see our first team take them on.

    Thought we were poor tonight.
Don't see why Pletikosa is being blamed for the first goal, the wall was supposed to be covering that side, if they'd bothered to jump maybe it wouldn't have gone in.
Thought the trialist in the first half Mphela didn't look great but he didn't get much of a chance. Lacny in the second half looked decent, made some good runs and was fast, but didn't have many opportunities to impress.

Brown, Wanyama, Maloney were all poor. Brown virtually non existent, shocking challenge on him from O'Hara though, was off the ball assault. Murphy just isn't the player for these fast paced games. He's fine for route 1 football when we're playing on a poor surface but nothing else. Majstorovic was also very poor and looked off the pace, he was getting beat for pace every time Wolves played a through ball, with Mulgrew having to cover, thought Charlie had a great game and Matthews wasn't bad either. Felt bad for Twardzik as other than the unfortunate OG he looked decent.

Pletikosa - his fault for the 1st goal, if he was to sign he would need to sort out his positioning and the fact he is reluctant to come of his line at times when he should. hes good in possession and his kickin is decent, made one really good save though

Matthews - looks a great full back, bombing up and down all night, comfortable on the ball, good in the challenge and had a decent dig in the 1st half.

Mulgrew - Played very well tonight, good in the air, positioning good, bailed out baldy alot tonight as he had too.

Majstorovic - After the performance i hope hes kept out of the team by either loovens or mulgrew to partner wilson, he was a complete bombscare.

Cha - Played like matthews today, full of energy and his speed is unbelievable at times.

Forrest - Played alright, had the beating of there full back but didnt get the ball enough i dont think, very direct just needs to work on his end product but exciting prospect.

Brown - Hustled and bustled like his usual self but couldnt control and dominate the game like he usually does. perhaps a bit rusty still.

Wanyama - Good tackler from what ive seen, i hope hes played in defence though as his distribution for a midfielder looks poor and he wants to much time on the ball, maybe just needs to get up to pace.

Maloney - Poor game I felt, just back from injury so will take him time, didnt run at there defence really.

Murphy - Absoloute garbage, won us a few free kicks and won a couple of headers thats as far as the positives get though he is unbelievably slow though and his link up, control movement is terrible

Mphela - Looked quite lazy at times, had a good header saved and he looked decent on the ball, wish i got to see more than just 45 minutes as he didnt really get any supply.

Lacny - like mphela he didnt have much supply but what i saw was a player with raw pace, and he made alot of good runs, his 1st touch didnt look to impressive but like mphela i would like to see him again.

The rest of the subs didnt really do much apart from samaras doing his usual sitter missing and twardzik scoring an OG after a lazy attempt to control the ball.

Overall the performance was terrible, we didnt try and play football we played route one the whole night and murphy just didn't do his job, saying that it was against two good defenders. quite disappointed with the lack of supply for the trialists

is it not common sense for the wall to jump to block the ball.

The two trail guys up front done not bad considering Thier playing up front with Murphy for * sake. I think if they were played together or with a Stokes or a hooper we would see the best of the lads.
Think when Lenny done the team talk he said to the trialists " who ever scores a goal up front with Murphy gets a contract !

Forgot about Jarivs. I agree, he's a quality player. I'd take him in a heartbeat. Not sure who I'd drop to play him, though. We've got fine options in the wing areas.

And I'd love to see us take on any English side in a competitive fixture. We'd beat 3/4's of them.

The wall was arranged fine. One of our defenders turned at the * wrong moment, though, and in the wrong direction.

The wall was positioned absolutely fine! Pletikosa wasn't positioned the best but still for a left footed player taking the freekick he was right to stand at that side and expect the wall to do their job, I think it was Mulgrew that turned at the wrong time. Boruc was the same, he always stood too far over!

Agree:50: I don't think we could afford him really but I wouldn't be upset if we dropped Commons for him - shows how highly I rate him!

Just back . Pletikosa was good , Mphela too , Lacny was pish . Wanyama played well so did Mulgrew but Maj was totally at fault for the second goal , and Twardzik , oh dear son.

Overall it was decent with our reserves vs a team will 7million pound players.

Mphela (at full fitness) looks like a player we could rely upon to 'lead the line' in difficult games. I'd trust in him to perform more than either Samaras or Murphy, who we currently turn to in sticky situations.

They didn't even jump! The FK went up and over the wall then in.
