Harsh, but there's a vein of truth in that. They really should've commanded more of the ball and gave a better showing tonight. Yeah, they won 2-0 but the score does not reflect how the match went.

They'll be facing a battle for survival this season.

Actually Mphela would be a no even a free transfer from that preformance. No better than Stokes and we have to much depth as it is.

Na hes no 80 odd caps for your country, remember the keeper that kept spartak in the game at parkhead a few year ago, hes a good keeper alot better than zaluska imo :50:

Unfair to judge him on that one performance. His positioning was poor for their first goal, but he hasn't gained 82 caps for his national team through being *. He made a save later on in the game in a one on one situation that was pretty * good. You must also remember that he hasn't been playing football regularly, ever since his failed loan spell at Spurs.

fact is we need another gk pronto and pletikosa has a great pedigree and is available for nothing; the goal he let in from the free kick was poor but maybe its worth taking a punt on him. i dont see the club going out and spending big on a goalie i'm afraid

Hes a different player to stokes, mphela is better version off samaras and murphy i think we should give him a chance in dublin and pletikosa im sure they will get tested against inter.... Its almost impossible to play with murphy your pretty much playing on your own :56:.. And the wall is part to blame for the first goal also

I thought Mphela had great movement up top, he liked to run the channels abit & was spreading the play well I thought, very strong on the ball as well, Lancy never really got much of the ball, a few good touches, & his header but never really got into the game.

Wanyama had a superb game in the middle I thought, a bit shakey to start with then after the first 10-15mins just started getting stuck in, exactly what we need in the middle of the park.

Forrest for me should have been man of the match thought he was amazing, pace, trickery the lot, he ran Elokobi ragged.

Mulgrew played well in the centre of defence like others I was abit dissapointed & surprised that Majstorovic was abit sluggish, maybe we should go with K.Wilson & Mulgrew at the back for Aberdeen & not rush Majstorovic back until he is up to speed, maybe it is only because hes still in pre-season mode, I hope its not a dip in form for the big man.

Twas a shame on young Twardzik though to score the own goal, looked promising when he came on, linked up well with Commons, we will see more of him & his brother Im sure as the season goes on,
Bit dissapointing we got beat but overall wasn't a bad performance & a few players getting a run out & we got to have a wee look at our trialists, for me Mphela would be a great addition to our squad, not sure about Lancy yet if we are bringing Lancy & Mphela to Dublin with us we can see more of them if not I would go for Mphela if I was Lenny & Pletikosa? Still unsure about him, we know hes a good GK, but he just hasn't really had a chance to show it as of yet, so still question marks hanging over his head.

I still insist it was a poor wall for the first (and most important) that caused the goal. From that range, the keeper was never going to stop it. Yes, he could've been more constructive with his instructions to his defenders, but that'll come with time. Does he even speak English? Needs to be more vocal, in any case. Should've gave them a bollocking for opening up like that.

And the young bhoy Twardzick was unfortunately inept in the second goal. Arguably Maj could've helped remove danger earlier, but his mistake was the like of which you'd see on joke reels. How often will that happen? I'd not judge him on one mistake.

We were unlucky to lose, on the whole. Played better than Wolves. I'd be amazed if the stats showed them having more posession.

Wasn't impressed by big Maj's performance. When you have Mulgrew shouting at you you know your having a bad game ha

just beat us?? and played a good game! though to be honest i know it was far from our best 11 they would still give us a test if we played a competitive game though I am sure we would win and be far more in control. and plus if celtic went away from home played a better team no matter the team picked and beat them 2-0 you along with others would be licking their baw's.
