Just as long as lenny plays 3 centre mids then i will be confident, its not that two strikers kills us, its playing two * wingers, in the spl celtic can really only afford if playing two strikers to have one winger.

If Lennon wants to play 4-4-2 then he needs to play a midfield of
Forrest----Brown----Ki----Ledley

Obviously whoever you prefer for the midfield trio if you like Juarez or kayal better than Brown or Ledley etc...
But you cannot have both Forrest and McGinn or Paddy in the same team because we simply get overrun and our wingers do not track back as much as they will need to.

Was watching Real Madrid the other night and although all over the park they have fantastic players they still worked their socks off, closed down as a TEAM and defended as a TEAM. This is unusual for Real Madrid i mean even Ronaldo showed some work ethic. This is from the Manager and how he implements his tactics, celtic need to start working for each other because at times on the pitch its like one person needs to start closing down the crowd start ranting and only then do others also close down.

The lack of teamwork when we don't have the ball is abysmal. There is one thing we should not lack over teams better than us and thats the willingness to fight for every single ball, but we don't do this and in fact i think the players aren't fit enough for the system lenny wants to play.

 

I've been thinking hte same myself mate. When Robson played out wide, he never really had to bomb it down the wing, didn't need to. The problem is who to play in midfield. Ki is a definate starter for me, Brown should get a game coz he looked right up for it on Wednesday when he came on. So who does that leave? If we were to play Forrest - Ki - Brown - ?. Would yo change the formation to maybe give McCourt a free role in midfield, or would you play 3 CM's with forrest being the winger and maybe push Brown out a bit wider like he has doen for Scotland?
Somthing needs to change in midfield. We need to have a DCM to cover our defence that much is a certainty

i fear hangovers will severely reduce the attendance at the game. although it will be boosted by the kids 2 games for a tenner package deal. first game of my half season ticket as well, not been to a game in ages and i cant wait!! MON THE HOOPS!
This is the time when we need our supporters. when we are down and when we are not playing well it is impossible for us to lift ourselves back up again without a bit of help from the fans. As Jock Stein said "football is nothing without the fans" it is printed on this seasons top ffs. Thats why everyone should turn up and get fully behind the bhoys.

 

Team should be based on the 4-5-1 as this allows our wingers more freedom to attack, we just need one of the three center mids to make sure he gets box to box.
