We don't set our standards by the EPL. In all of the EPL games against lower division teams the Epl played weakened teams , just like we did against Morton. I have no doubt that Celtic will play the team that Deila thinks is his best . He may not play Lustig for example because he may be worried about his lack of game time . We can be confident that we have our best team prepared specially for the game on Sunday . Even if our team flops and plays as badly as against Ross County we will have too much for the team whose manager is tired and hoping that Sevco don't suffer a heavy defeat .
Anyway the man who is draining Sevco's resources , by giving them monthly loans , maternal grand-father comes from Co. Mayo which is not far from where Bro. Walfrid who came from Sligo was born .
Who WILL Aslhley want to win on Sunday .

 

If you are playing shoite all season, you cannot significantly up their game .
No match for 22 days , it will be like the first game pre- season for them .

Replace Forrest with whoever you like on right wing. Would be class if we got GMS in this window. Then I reckon this would be our best team, but we are lacking a decent right winger imo atm.

Would feel pretty bad for Bitton seeing as he has been class recently but he can't fit in here unfortunately. Maybe he can come on for Johansen later on in the game, just sit infront of the back 4, never come forward, and the forwards can do whatever the * they like.

 

Or the break could have reinvigorated them. 22 days with out a game, could mean lots of training and a freshness we might not have, playing constant games.

It also is enough time to built them into a proper footballing unit.

They didn't have 22 days without a match to prepare for , so they had to tone down training for the Hearts 25 mins snow flight and then a week later they were all ready to push the bus to go to Cowdenbeath, when the word came through that the game was snowed.
Now I don't know much about race horses , but I read somewhere where these thoroughbreds , have serious probems if they are trained up for a race and don't get running .

Johansen has to and will play in an advanced role. Stokes will play on the left.

 

I share your concerns. From Raith in a final, to Ross County at Hampden. Anything can happen in 90 minutes.

I believe they will be motivated and up for it than us.

would never wear colours out and about even without this game.

 

^ Lustig for Matthews and that's the exact team I've settled on as well. Part of me thinks maybe Henderson for Bitton, but Bitton would add more of a sitting role in the middle- and I don't imagine he'd lose his calmness in this game. In a good way, I see him treating it like any other match.
