Would have been nice to really run up a score on them today but considering how bad that pitch was at the start of the game never mind how bad it was by the second half you could understand why we seemed content to just kill the game off in the second half. I was very impressed with how well prepared mentally we were for the game and really only for the pitch being a cabbage patch we run up a big score out there.
Thompson had a poor game as ref failing to book Zombies on numerous situations. Plus his outrageous calling back of Griffiths for a free kick when he was clean through. But all in all given the dreadful conditions I though we controlled the game with ease from the first minute to the last. Scott Brown was fully deserved as man of the match. Nir Biton alongside him was excellent once again as well and that dominance really gave us complete control of the whole game.
Beating the zombies and with such ease felt and feels really great but honestly I have to say again I hope this is the one and only time we ever play them and that they go under as they really are a parasitic disease on the game.

Hopefully something is done about the fiasco that is the pitch at Hampden so that we can actually play football for 90 minutes when we play Dundee United in the final next month.

Anyway, I think most people are glad that's over. Another one in three years will be time enough for me.

Could watch both goals all day the first one is excellent from griffiths his movement is class we should have been 4 0 up at half time Johansen missed a sitter VVD had a free header and the ref pulled griffiths back when he was running through 1 on 1

Ha, i bet we get them in the Scottish Cup. That'll be the goalfest.

Another highlight from the referee was Griffiths booking after scoring a goal. Since when is it a yellow card offence to cup your ear. Is that inciting a riot aye?

Honestly we'll shred them if we get them on a decent pitch at paradise or castle grey skull.

    This.

Even sitting at home watching the game I was kinda just waiting on the final whistle about mid way through the second half. We were just strolling it, 2-0 can be nervy but it really wasn't and it just seemed like a bit of a pointless exercise.

I would have never said that about the Rangers of old, but today really didn't feel the same. Got some butterflies at KO and that was as far as the feelings of playing Oldco went. From then on in, it really was just like playing any other lower league team.

I didn't expect it, but it just confirms for me that they are well a truly dead, both factually and in presence.

Maybe if Newco ever make it to the Premier League this tie will gain some significance again, or maybe it will just never be the same. Probably the latter, they are a joke.

I see even though they support a new club the bigoted * still run with the myth that they out sung us.

On reflection, pretty embarrassing for Rangers FC at Hampden today. Just how to get 'Fenians' and the Pope out of the minds of these fans?

It's clear who wasn't at the game by some of the comments about their singing, we were louder in the first half but for a good 25 minutes in the 2nd half they were loud in the same sort of way as the the last Oldco game when we went 3 up, they just thought * it and from what I could hear took possibly their last ever chance to unleash their bile on us, they really did go through the songbook of filth, as previously mentioned the Jimmy Saville one is a curious song to sing at us considering his relationship with the UK state and Royal Family....but we are talking the minds of pondlife here

It's an obsession they can't kick and it seems the only stick they want to beat is with no matter how pathetic it may be.

Today reinforced why in all the polls we've had on here in the last few years why I've always voted No I don't want them back in the SPL or playing them again.

I'm far more excited about playing Inter in a cup only a few months ago I was struggling to get excited about, Regarding Sevco I never care if we meet again and have to breathe the same air as these filth.

They should investigate every single one of them.

They have an unhealthy obsession with it.

    So, so easy.

Never got out of 1st gear, shame we didn't want to really annihilate them and stick 6 or 7 in but I suppose they just wanted a stroll and rest.
