Him getting sent off cost us the 3 points. I just hope he doesn't play at all. He's done nothing to warrant a start.

The team has just sorted itself, the defence in particular. The defence should pick itself now. You take Tierney out of there and put Izzy back in your'e breaking the continuity and bonding levels, and leaving a gap down the left for Molde to exploit.

    For *'s sake no Ronny.

^^ like that team. Would take out Commons for Rogic though, we need his quick feet and passing.

Love Commons but more often than not he's a passenger in the big games, and although he can pull something out of nothing we need performances all round.

You do, do you! You would, would you?

Commons is the only the player that holds any semblance of a Celtic class player.

Lustig, who I'm a fan of, is regressing somewhat.

Craig Gordon is beginning to lack confidence due to the drivel we have infront of him.

A rocky defence with two holding midfielders (holy *)!! Six defensive plyers and we concede 2 a game.

Brown, if he weren't captain and didn't have a battle in him he'd be lucky to get a game at all. Biton looks like a class player to most I'm sure, calm little roll overs with the ball etc. 2-3 wonderful goals from 3000 shots that are orbiting earth as I type. Flatters to deceive, he's a * bag to boot.

Rogic is becoming a breath of fresh air I'll give you that, certainly not in place of Commons though. Armstrong or Forrest , yes.

I still believe we require true quality up front but I admire Griffiths, he's nailing that role down. His attitude is top notch these days, he's trying to grow in to that jersey, unlike many in that squad who do expect it to shrink to fit.

I'm not a neigh-sayer by any stretch of the imagination, nor am I one of that happy clapper breed. We all have swings and roundabouts pre and post match dependant on the result. We played well against Aberdeen and it was a satisfying performance to boot. Sadly, to summarise tho, nothing has changed, we are still far too low in quality to even punch to our past lofty heights.

Maybe I'm just living too much in the past, I likely need to recalibrate my expectations of this club.

    Win, lose or draw. Check
    Gonna be a show. Uncheck
    Play the Celtic way. Uncheck

Somehow actually feeling confident we'll get a result.

Taking absolutely nothing away from the great results against the Jambos & Dons in the last 2 games but think better teams would have punished us with the opportunities each of them had.

We're VG going forward and because we play a high line, the way we play suits Molde down to the ground because they pull in the opposition then counter. Whether it's a set play or a cross from the wing, the long ball into the box to the last line of defence still causes us real problems, e.g. on Saturday Rooney's header that just went wide, CG's reaction save and the Dons' goal.

In Europe, Molde have shown they are no mugs, so Thursday will be a good opportunity to show if we are a good European Team that's learning how to play the opposition or a just a very good SPFL Team way better than anyone else.

We also could have scored about 4 more ourselves with the chances we had.

Teams are going to get chances that's football.

Don't disagree with you SD in any way. Guess what I'm saying is that the better the Team, the better use they make of their chances, which is more glaring in European football. I'd be more comfortable about Thursday if I thought we were tighter at the back and could deal better with the diagonal ball into the box. I think we are particularly suspect to that one but we'll see what Thursday brings.

    Gordon

    Lustig - Boyata - Jozo - Tierney

    Bitton - Johansen

    Commons - Rogic - Armstong

    Griffiths

Tempted to put in Forrest over Commons, but Kris has goals out of anything in him and in big games he's just too valuable to drop. Tierney was subbed on Sat and Armstrong rested so I think both will start. 2-0 to the celts :shamrock:
