Huh no Commons ? It's goals that win games and Commons is one of our most prolific goalscorers and intelligent of players, if not the most intelligent player in the team.

Commons has to be in the team , even when he has an off game he still carries a huge threat - in Europe he is an absolute must starter.

And is so much more effective in a central role, seems to me all the good work he does is in that area.

Armstrong will play, as he provides a right footed setpiece something we really lacked v Aberdeen, all those out swinging Commons corners that came to nothing.

Commons is fine on the wing if we've got someone like Rogic in the middle, as long as we've got someone who can carry the ball in there then I'm happy.

I'd go the same as yesterday.

2-1 us. We'll go 2 up then concede in the last 10 mins to make it nervy.

Against good counter attacking teams, Commons provides very limited defensive cover on the wing. He is reliant on one of the holding players covering for him which in turn pulls us out of shape. And the lack of shape leads to goals against in Europe.

Ronny wants legs all over the park and especially in those wide players, it's essential they can protect our ever advancing full-backs.

I think this is the issue Ronny has had with Commons, he doesn't see him as one of the 3 in the 4-2-3-1 in the longterm, as he doesn't really have the legs for the pressing football Ronny wants. And last season Johansen played the CAM position so well he won the deserved plaudits. Which left Commons out wide.

However he can't leave him out as he is our most inventive player and along with Griffiths our most dangerous. Nor should he but it is a dilemma where he plays in the big European games.

Domestically when teams sit and are not as proficient in counter attacking we can get away with a lot more.

For me in Europe he should play in the CAM role or not at all as I believe there are better options wide in both Forrest and Armstrong. (Was hoping GMS would be pushing too:54:) or we should change our formation to accomadate him.

Now we have the emergence of Rogic who could feel hard done to by being dropped v Molde and righty so.

Good dilemmas to have but a Delia dilemma none the less.:50:

Going to be really important to get the first goal. Then they have to come out. As long as it stays 0-0, they will sit back and play on the counterattack.

I hope we win. The Norwegian media has been absolutely unbearable. Talking about Solskjær like he was the second coming...

I think we'll find it hard though. If we score first, we have a good chance.

When it comes to Europe right now its hard to be self-assured.

I hope we win, but I wont be surprised if we have another embarrassment on our hands.

We should really be turning them over however this is the reality of how inferior we have became over the years, pretty much since 2012.

They don't need to come at us at all. They will sit back. If big sim is playing I think they won't fed it so easy this game.7

Really nervous about this one tbh. I'd imagine the 6 o'clock kick off has knocked 10k aff the gate aswell, absolute joke of a time.

If it is, it would be very hard on Tierney who has not put a foot wrong anytime he has deputised for Izzy, undeserved and would weaken us defensively against a team ( Molde) renowned for their counter attacking.

Rogic has to start if he's fit enough. Brings far more than Armstrong imo.

Agree, I think this KO time could damage the attendance for what is now a crucial match. I`d take a 1-0 right now but hoping for more than that.
