If we had Aguero, Silva, Sane, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Gundogan etc and were playing a team with Griffiths, Rogic and Brown we'd be expecting to pump them 5-0 :smiley-laughing002: so they can say what they want really

We done it ourselves the other day against Alloa, there was people predicting 7-0 and 9-0.

Don't actually mind City. Number of plastic fans but that goes for pretty much every English top-flight team.

The 'Championship club' stuff is ridiculous in all honesty, but it's not exactly unlike the English to overestimate the ability of their own domestic leagues.

It's a pity they have Pep and this game comes too soon after a pretty horrendous few years for us, I would fancy most teams we've produced over the last few years to give City a game, but think having Pep will make it a bridge too far.

De Bruyne being ruled out is a serious boost for us. He is their main man and makes them tick

Even with KDB out, they're still going to dominate.

If Aguero was out as well I would feel ok, he alone could cause us serious problems.

De Bruyne has been their main player in terms of creating, though Aguero and Sterling are in form but still gives us a better chance with De Bruyne out.

De Bruyne missing out doesn't really help us tbh.
Aguero, Silva, Nolito, Sane, Sterling (on form) can all rip us apart at will. Their defence also seems quite solid now, still no matter the opposition I am always supremely confident of at least a draw at home in the CL.

Better teams than Man City have came here and left with their tails betwixt their legs.

Aye, its not really that their defence is better its just they keep the ball a lot more and pressure teams more that they hardly get attacked now(same as Barcelona).

We could beat them but most likely I think they will dominate wear us down and win 2-0/3-0/3-1

With De Bruyne out, the quality of supply to Sterling and Aquero will be diminished arguably.
And if Brendan places Sviatchenkp slap bang in front of the back four it will present City with more problems to penetrate.
Meantime Dembele has all the resources to be an adept and potent single striker who can absolutely bullet balls into the net with both his head and feet.
We have grounds for being confident if this plan is adopted by Brendan.
