Who knows what can happen at Parkhead with the crowd behind us. Man City though look something else at the minute and its going to take a colossal effort. Few key battles I think for us- Dembele vs Stones, Brown vs Gundogan and Toure vs Aguero. Win or draw those battles and we have a fighting chance.

It's a tough one to call, both teams not showing great strength in defending.

I know some don't want five at the back bit in thinking of 3-5-2/5-4-1

Starting Kolo, Jozo and Erik with lustig and Tierney acting as defensive wing backs.

Then have Brown and Bitton in the middle with Rogic pushing further forward then have which ever combo of Thumb, Demblele and Sinclair be the attacking focus.

    Gordon

    Lustig kolo sviat simunovic tierney

    Forrest brown bitton sinclair

    Dembele

Id like to see that team at least for the 1st half to try keep a lid on things then switch either of the center backs (whoever is having the worst game) with rogic to try keep a bit of posession in the midfield, with griffiths making an appearance dependent on dembeles game.

    Gordon
    Lustig Toure Erik Tierney
    Brown Bitton McGregor
    Forrest Dembele Sinclair

Roberts, Griff and Rogic to come on depending on the score.

Got a feeling it will be a 2-2 draw but hoping to * we sneak it.

De Bruyne being out is good news, but Aguero is the real danger man, and Pep himself is the ace in the pack.

Going to be a tough night. There's no way we're keeping a clean sheet so would at least like us to have a threat going forward. After the Barcelona capitulation I would be happy enough if we could just stick two up top in front of a rocking Celtic Park and get in about them.

My main worry, by a good bit, is De Bruyne even though they've got class all over the park. I just think he looks unplayable at times and started off this season even better than last year. Citeh dipped noticetably when he got injured last year.Huge boost for us if he's out imo.

Unlike the Barca game i wan't us to rattle (hard but fairly) the likes of Aguero and Sterling early doors and see how thye like it!

Parkhead on Euro night with floodlights on= anything can happen. believe bhoys!:celt_2:

Nervous as * for this, excited about the whole build up and can't wait to experience another CL night at Celtic Park with the music, atmosphere etc cause there's truly no other place in Europe like it. With guys like Pep and Aguero coming to Celtic Park as well it doesn't get much better.

But come kick off when we're getting dominated and passed off the park in our own backyard I'll realise once again why I dreaded this game soo much :smiley-laughing002:.

Don't get me wrong this won't be like Barca in which we're purely dominated from 1st minute to last. We will have periods of possession and chances and when we get them we MUST take them. However it's still going to be a rough ride no doubts about it.

Guys like Aguero, Sterling, De Bruyne (If he's fit), Silva, Gundogan are all capable of annihilating us on the night. Throw into the mix as well the boy I rate very highly Iheanacho and they've got an embarrassment of riches in attack. For me Aguero is the third best striker in the world right now after Suarez and Lewandowski. So we're going from marking Kris Boyd on the Saturday to Sergio Aguero on the Wednesday :smiley-laughing002: * me man.

I'm also not sure at all what team I'd go for, don't know whether I'd go three at the back or four. I'd also go for Bailly over Gordon or De Vries could inspire him and he deserves a chance over both of those GKs imo as they have blown their chances.

    If 3-5-2 I'd go.....

    ------------------------Bailly---------------------------

    ----------Simunovic---Toure-----Sviatchenko--------

    -----Roberts---------------------------------Tierney---

    ------------------Brown-------Bitton-------------------

    ------------------------Rogic----------------------------

    ----------------Dembele-------Sinclair-----------------

Shame for Lustig but that's the way it goes at times.

    In a 4-2-3-1 I'd go.....

    -------------------------Bailly----------------------------

    ----Lustig------Toure-----------Sviatchenko-----Tierney--

    ----------------Brown-----------Bitton--------------------

    --------Roberts---------Rogic------------Sinclair---------

    -------------------------Dembele--------------------------

Tough to leave out Simunovic and tbh I'm just flipping a coin between those two atm.

Team I think it'll be though....

    --------------------------Gordon----------------------------

    ----Lustig--------Toure-----------Erik----------Tierney-----

    ------------------Brown----------Bitton---------------------

    --------Forrest-----------Rogic----------------Sinclair-----

    --------------------------Dembele--------------------------

    Scoreline?

Hoping for a 2-1 but sadly think it'll be 3-1 to them.

Would love to ram a decent result down their arrogant plastic fans though.

There good run can't go on forever and must end at some point, hopefully that run ends on Wednesday night.

I agree with you, apart from putting Bailly in goals. This is a massive game and Bailly needs some games to build up a good working relationship with his defence, therefore this is not one of these games.

Im not a great believer in the idea of playing youngsters in a game like this. For me it should be as much experience on the pitch as possible.

I cannot realistically see us taking anything from the game and fear a mauling, so with that in mind, i would leave the young team well away from a potential scarring....and if it so happens after 70 minutes the mauling isnt happening, then and only then, let them get a taste of it.

For me, you learn nothing positive from a game like the Barcelona game, so i see no point exposing them to such experiences.

I know im being negative, but it is how i feel.

Usual team for me, no point in playing 3 centre-mids as we dont have one suited like a Ledley, Wanyama or Kayal who would make us more solid. McGregor or Amrstrong would just make us weaker in attack.

Big Tam and the Moose to turn players for fun and hold the ball up hopefully managing to play in Forrest or Sinclair for counter attacks.

Probably be pumped though id guess 3-0 to them. They are on form and probably playing the best football an English team ever has.
