We beat AC Milan with a back four consisting of Doumbe, Caldwell, McManus & Naylor.

The funny thing about this Celtic team is that if everyone's at their best we really do have a lot of quality.

Gordon, Lustig, Erik, Kolo, Tierney, Forrest, Brown, Bitton, Rogic, Sinclair, Griffiths, Roberts, Dembele.

If all of those bring their A game (some off the bench), we could beat anyone at Celtic Park. De Vries will start though and rightly so imo.

Dida (Kalac 90), Oddo, Nesta, Bonera, Jankulovski, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf (Gourcuff 55), Kaka, Inzaghi (Gilardino 76)

    Not a bad team that.

Strachan's sides weren't blessed with a lot of quality, especially defensively. However he knew how to set them up to win games like this and to grind out results against players far, far more superior.

Throw in 2 world class players on their day in Boruc and Nakamura and you have two match winners.

Now we have a good overall squad but it is yet to show it can sustain large periods of pressure and be able to nick a goal. It isn't enough to play our usual SPL, week in week out, game against sides like this as we will be opened up at the back.

There needs to be the right balance. Most of our successes in Europe in recent years have stemmed from a solid defence and great goalkeeping performances. Right now we don't have that.

The more I think of it the more I think the Barcelona game was an aberration, unlikely to happen again, and no real indicator of what is likely to happen in the remaining games.

In that Barcelona game we had two new players in De Vries and Gamboa who looked out of their depth at that level, and in Bitton a player who looked totally disinterested and ineffective. In effect three men down.Unlikely to happen again.

With a solid and committed eleven playing in the rest of the games, there is still a pathway to getting some points on the board.

Def a tough game but no team is unbeatable. I can remember Barca and Man Utd came to Celtic park on great form in their league but were beaten. Both teams had better teams than this city side, here's hoping!

    * it, Celtic Park, Wednesday night under the CL league lights, we've beaten far better sides than the current Man City team. The Barcelona result was a kick in the nuts but it could've happened to anyone, and this City side aren't Barca.

We can take something from this, they haven't earned the right to come to Celtic Park and to have an easy night of it, not even close.

Keeping a clean sheet would be massive for us but we don't look like doing it, that's the main problem.

It will take a performance we've not put in under Rodgers yet to even get a point. We need to get in their faces early doors. The crowd will demand that.

I want to see us play our normal game in this one and have a real go in the final third. Get the ball into rogic sinclair and forrest far enough up the pitch so they can make inroads into in and about the area. Do that and we can cause problems. Looking forward to see what rogic can do in a home CL game.
Be switched on all over the park and give it their all -it's all I ask

And we have Roberts and Griffiths to come off the bench. Normally these two start. Toss up with Roberts n forrest tbh just think with Roberts not fully firing recently I'd probably start with forrest happy with whoever BR chooses both will play a part tho. Same goes with Dembele and Griffiths. Dembele to start probably Griffiths to come on
