Was thinking back to the Karagandy game this time last year :smiley-laughing002: that was real edge of the seat stuff man, could do with less stress this time round!

Apart from not scoring goals in open play, we have 2 potential weaknesses in defence - Boyata (inexperience) & Izzy(goes wandering and panics too often in defence). One is bad enough but if both are off.....Nightmare stuff in the making. Also think this type of game is made for Commons over Johansen as they'll play it tight and he can thread passes through, but Ronny will go for his Talisman - predictable. For me it's

    Gordon
Lustig, Boyata/Mulgrew,VVD, Mulgrew/Izzy - Charlie to play somewhere in back line.
    Bitton,Brown
    GMS,Commons,Armstrong
Ciftci (Ronny prefers him over Griff, who'll come on with 25 min to go)

    Subs in 2nd half - Griff/Ciftci, Johansen/Commons & Forrest/Armstrong

Don't know how anyone could consider wanting Johansen dropped. Johansen, Bitton, Brown, Virgil, Lustig and Gordon start when fit. Simple as.

Johansen is so pivotal to the way we play.

Nervous as * for this now, I hope we stick a few past them.

I don't like the way we are being perceived as inferior to Salzburg ergo Malmo should be beating us.

I would start the Thumb tomorrow. His heads in the right place and his style would be more suited playing against the Scandanavians. More so than say an Italian or Portuguese side. If Griff was on from the start and missed one or two chances, I'd be convinced he'd convert one at some stage. I don't have this confidence with big Ciftci at the moment. He's still blending in.

Travelling over in the am. Absolutely buzzing for it. Need to beat Malmo tomorrow night. Don't think going over there without a win will be enough.

1,000 Malmo travelled over I believe. Important to get an atmosphere going and get behind the lads. No doubt that will be the case though!

Going to go 1-0 Celtic. Griffiths.

Don't disagree with you in SPFL but too often in Europe against better opposition, he makes terrible passes - loses possession. He has a BRILLIANT engine and keeps going but lacks Commons class/quality on the big occasion.

As for Charlie, I'd rather have him than both Izzy & young Dedryk together in the back line at the same time.

I would start Griffiths for the home leg and hopefully we have a 2 /3 goal advantage to take to Sweden and start Ciftci away

We don't have any excuses for this one. We have a fully fit squad, we are up to full match sharpness and we have in Malmo a decent draw. Quite simply if we don't do the business over the next two legs then we don't deserve to be there. I would in an ideal world have liked us to have strengthened more in the transfer window but if this current team plays to its capability then we can do the business! Mon the hoops! :ynwacelti
