At Unibet (which is the closest thing you get to a Swedish bookie) the odds are 1,60 for a Celtic win, 3,90 for a draw and 5,50 for a Malmö win.

I remember myself and Markybhoy, amongst a couple of others saying that Brown would be able to do a job on the ride side of a 4-4-2 midfield. It is a role that, correct me if I'm wrong, he has played for Scotland before. This was an idea that was mentioned before Brown's hip problems started to bother him as much. His technique and touch are better than what he's given credit for.

Having said all of that, he is not a winger. He is best utilised in the centre where he can exert his influence throughout the team and dictate the tempo of our play. When he was at Hibs, he was used as a more attacking midfielder in a midfield of three, where he was free to maraud further up the pitch without having to focus on defending as much. He has more defensive responsibilities for us now, so if we moved him out of position we would greatly miss his interceptions and ability to break up opposition attacks. His organisational influence around the rest of the team would be diminished on the right hand side too. There is no other player at the club that is able to exert the same level of influence in centre midfield, so while Brown has the ability to play as a wide midfielder, playing him there would be a huge error in team selection.

Quite surprised at Malmo being 5.50 and us being 1.60. It's going to be a lot closer than what those odds suggest.

    That's for the home leg.

Odds to qualify are 8/15, 6/4.

feeling quite confident of at least taking a goal advantage heading over there, but the main thing is keeping a cleansheet.

But don't want us to be too respectful of them, would like to see us from the first minute getting in there faces and try to get an early goal to rattle them, and with parkhead rocking we could get a couple.

My mate stuck a tenner on 3-0 AC Milan and Kaka to score the other year there and I still haven't forgiven him.

That's probably more to do with the fact that I was jealous at the fact he was £140 richer than me, mind.

Your right, he has played at RM before so he could play there but your also right in saying he would be wasted there pretty much.
I think part of the reason he is so good at what he does at CM, breaking things up, linking play etc; is because he can read the game well and as a former, more attacking midfielder, he can tell, more often than not, how an opposition is going to try to attack in a given phase of play and break it up accordingly. That is a really good quality to have in a CM, someone who can read the offensive and defensive aspects of the game rather than a more specialised knowledge.
He's basically invaluable in the centre for both going forward and defending and the good doctors idea about putting him on the right, even though he's played there before, wasn't the best. :87::smiley-laughing002:

I love your avatar btw, Henkes so suave and happy looking there. :smiley-laughing002: :50:

Once Ronnie decides to go, hopefully not for another 6 or 7...8 years; how cool would it be for Henke to become the new manager?! He was saying recently that he didn't think he was ready and didn't want to underestimate the job last season, well after the, hopefully, long amount of time Ronnie will have been here...he should be ready then. That would pretty much be perfect.
After Ronnies long, distinguished managerial career at Celtic; leading them to the groups every year, making the last 16 four times, winning the UEFA Cup etc etc. Henrik Larsson becomes the new Celtic manager and leads the strengthened club on to CL glory, against the odds...:party048:

There will be no conceding goals. Don't see it happening, we'll be solid. Plus I've had a wee scan at one of they're forums and from what I can tell (from a google translation...) their attack is firing right so to speak.
Anyway, we are a stronger, better side, all due respect to them like, but we are better.:50:
