Hoping for a high tempo and get at them from the whistle. Let's hope Bitton isn't fit yet for that reason.

    I'm predicting 3-0.

None of the top teams play 4-2-3-1 either. The only ones who have played it successfully are teams who have an absolute class act in the hole who they can build their team around and actually rely on.

Sneijder at his peak for Holland in 2010 comes to mind. Real Madrid and Atletico reached the CL final there with 4-3-3 and 4-4-2. Barca play 4-3-3. Bayern play it. Juventus play 3-5-2 or 4-4-2.

Even Germany are reluctant to play it despite their attacking options. Kroos, Khediera, Schweinsteiger has been the choice lately with the likes of Ozil wide instead of trusted in the hole in a 4-2-3-1.

I think we'll get much more than we usually get for qualifiers, since it's Rodgers' first real home game.

We could have played 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 in the 1st leg and still lost, we simply didn't pass the ball remotely good enough.

I don't have any particular issue with Griffiths being on the right, indeed most of last season when he played as the one striker he was always dropping short or drifting into the wide areas. Wasn't until probably the last game of last season(when Christie played as the one forward) did we have someone who held that role the team( his movement took him rarely outwith the width of the 18 yard box). Also it's often better that neither Griffiths nor Dembele are always the central striker, the rotation between the two could prove to be a good weapon for us. The problem is the understanding between the players isn't where we need/want it to be at the moment. We had no real combination play between Christie,Dembele and Griffiths last Tuesday.

I'm looking forward to Wednesday night. It will be the 1st time I get to see the team playing live. While I have seen all but the Wolfsburg game on TV, you can see a lot more in person.

I hope the fans actually get behind the players, I know we should be dismantling this team with ease but if fans get on players backs early rather than back them it could be a long night
This is not a dig at fans whatsoever

I kicked all football to the kerb after last weeks result, was pleasantly surprised by the wolfsburg result and all is well again.

The english media know all about embarrassing results- hence their need to redirect their shame at somebody else, so lett hem bump their gums i dont listen to english views on scottish football- they dont watch it but write it off at every turn, speaking form a position of ignorance their points have no validity here.

The only thing that actually matters here is what happens in the home leg it is only half time and now we bring it to a bouncing CP and the advantage is ours, the wide open spaces of cp will be too much for them as will we be.

Prettyy much any 11 players we choose from our squad should and will be too good for these guys. personally id go with

    GORDON
    FISHER AJER SVIATCHENKO TIERNEY
    BROWN
    FORREST ROBERTS
    MCGREGOR
    GRIFF DEMBELE

We need to score goals its that simple. A flat back 4 with brown sitting protecting, the pace of forrest and trickery of roberts either wing, the directness and goal threat of mcgregor in behind, and a two pronged attack.

We have no option other than to go for it- so go attack attack and attack and erase the memory of that awful first leg result

Well said its time to SUPPORT the team, not deride it. Even if things get a lil sticky we need to back the team and give them the benefit of the doubt here, its still early days as far as how the season goes its just * up that we have to play a game of this magnitude at such an early stage of our pre-season

An early goal is all we need. Score one within the first 5-10 mins and pressures off. Suddenly we'll start putting balls by there keeper as if he's a we kid playing against his dad down the park.

A diamond with wingers is absolutely mental in my opinion. They'll have 3 in the middle of the park.

Although I'm entirely confident we're going to win 5 or 6-0.. I can't help but feel nervous. If we * this up it could possibly be the worst result in the history of any club in Britain surely?

They are going to sit in. Griffiths, McGregor and Roberts guarantee goals outside the box.
