Predicted that a Legia win wouldn't be suprised, I saw people mention how better a squad Celtic had over Legia, but these 2 games disprove that, they were far better on the ball all over the park and looked more dangerous throughout.

For me a class above Celtic currently.

Thought young McGregor did well, bit erratic at times, but looked good and thought Matthews did well.

Centre of midfield is dreadful, probably as bad as I can remember way back to our David Hannah, Willie Falconer days. Up front probably even further back would need to think of a worse strikeforce.

Although I'll settle for a decent Europa League run and I now expect a treble. That'll be a good season.

Guess need to remember how the last 2 managers started off in CL, although this time is different as there was still money spent previously by these guys, now it's a different ball game.

I do feel sorry for Ronny in that sense, although the talk about his attacking play prior to actually seeing the games for me has not came to fruition, although was never confident with the current squad anyway, as they don't have a clue going forward so didn't see how Ronny could turn this around. Although * knows what happened to the 4-3-3.

Honestly, I have no idea whether Deila has been a good manager or not.
What I can clearly tell is that something is not clicking.
This may sound bizarre - especially after the score over 2 legs - but I do not think you have a weaker team than Legia.
The main problem that I can see for the time being - mainly taking into consideration the match in Warsaw - is the fact that some of the players were not playing in their natural positions. This has resulted in the devastating score and display that we all have witnessed.
Don't get me wrong - I am sure Ronny wanted to experiment with the squad to get something more out of it but unfortunately the main rule of thumb is to adapt tactics to the players that you have. For the time being you simply do not have the proper guys to play Total Football or any other genre of proper attacking game on the international scene. Even when having such opponents as Legia.
Some of you pointed out that the board did not help your manager in any way but he - seeing what his players have to offer - must have noticed that and should have adapted more cautious approach, especially when playing away.
As far as today's game is concerned - I was shocked by the total lack of belief and determination of Celtic footballers. From my perspective it looked like you guys were playing a friendly rather than a match which can cost the club millions of pounds.
I really hope you can bounce back from it but from what I can read, a small exodus is on the cards which does not announce any happy days to come...

Massive wake up call for all at Celtic.

Things have gotten worse and worse and worse since we qualified for the last 16. This tie is easily the worst in our history. I'm so * angry

What has that got to do with anything? I was simply questioning how committed we should be to a * poor Intertoto standard of competition we've been relegated to.

 

A style of football that saw us get to the cl with largely this same squad.

 

Could not agree more with above!!
We have two players in our full squad that would get a game in the top half of the premier league. The rest are average at very best. If you dont invest you cannot expect a great return. We dont pay money into our club for it to be run to make money!!!! I dont want lose money but football xlubs should be run as a break even enterprise!

 

Yeah * me right? Celtic are definitely not predictable in their style of play how dare i criticise them before a game. * u too btw stupid * * at least I care enough to be honest about the team atm. This defeat was coming sadly.

Fair enough. I've said it prior to this the competition should be done away with. It has lost all sense of prestige ever since they remarketed it, following the pressure from the ever expanding Champions League.

It could prove beneficial for us in terms of experience though, I suppose.
