Deila couldn't really have done anything else tonight set up wise. You can set a team up to play in any which way you want but if your players just aren't on it on that day and the other team know what they are doing you will struggle. The players just haven't been up to anything tonight, sloppy in all areas. From passing, from making runs into the box and to just basic composer on the ball. A different formation can't fix that. He needs to give the players a bollocking for this.

He also hasn't been able to get players in.

Legia have come here knowing what they needed to do and they have done their job well. Their pressing high up the pitch has been good for them. Partly because our players have panicked when passing the ball, giving them good chances on the break. Apart from that they have just had everyone else defending.

The one question that can be asked of Deila tonight is motivation. Clearly without players like Brown about he needed to step up and that hasn't happened.
