I'm only replying to what others consider to be a success and don't and what I do and don't mate. I never even brought 2003 up to begin with.

I'm just giving my opinion. I respect that others may be different. Many on here don't seem to do that though

You said we are in danger of getting dragged into a dogfight with Aberdeen. That opinion only deserves ridicule, laughing smileys and sarcastic waves. :smiley-laughing002::bbpd:

They seem a good side, credit where it's due. If we don't get the required result (reckon we'll win the return leg but can't see it being 3+) then I can definitely see them qualifying for the group stage.

From our perspective a strange performance.

First off, I thought the red had a lot to do with the result - don't think it'd have been 4 if it was 11 vs. 11 (definite red to be fair though). I thought our back 5 was actually not too bad in spells: lot's of good blocks, decent saves by Forster as well; but at the same time cost us - penalties, poor decision making with challenges and passes to the midfield (IMO goal 2 was entirely the fault of the defence playing a * pass and midfield being * with the ball - badly need to replace Wanyama).

Most of the chances we created were good - e.g. Commons just over the bar, Pukki just wide, good save from edge of the area by their keeper but in truth just not enough of them.

However they had a number on us tactically and IMO this made the difference - they're one of only a few teams who seemed to to everything they could to force challenges inside the area - they have good dribblers and won 2 pens and created a number of chances this way. They also pressurised our midfield very well and forced fouls around the halfway line (IMO the ref gave them a lot in this respect, but regardless - they played to the environment); the latter kept us in our own half, and it showed once the legs were gone. If I was Deila I'd have gone 5 in midfield just to outnumber them and always give an option for passes and make sure the stray balls are picked up by ourselves rather than a midfield 3/4 being forced to risk a late tackle. IMO they won the midfield battle and it's clear we need a skilled anchorman if we're to play the way we have been. They also kinda took a chance at 2-1 by letting us play for the best part of the 2nd half then capitalising on our stamina.

For me we're all but out, but I don't think it's an embarassment in the circumstances (would say otherwise if it was 11 vs 11). Sure, we weren't at the top of our game - but they seem a good side. Very disappointing, and there's an off-chance we'll qualify but yeah I just hope we give 100% next leg regardless of the score and sort out the tactics.

I think you're forgetting what teams are in our league.

Also, why would you just randomly bring up getting the Huns in the Cup?

On paper it should be. My point is that if we play like that it may not be that simple (could be dragged into a dog fight). Doesn't mean we won't win the dog fight.

Never mind our dogfight shouldn't you be focusing on your own dogfight with Hearts and Hibs.
