If the players don't perform to their full potential, there isn't really an explanation for it though. No player is going to go out on the park, with the intention of having a bad game, but it will happen occasionally, as they aren'y robots, that is the point I was making.

I'm optimistic as we have only just appointed a new manager, who is saying all the right things. If we are taking his footballing philosophy from his last team, and the way people have spoken about him, of course that is reason to be optimistic. In regards to transfers, there is still plenty of time left in the window to bring in fresh faces. It certainly wouldn't appear that Forster is going to be sold either at this moment in time, how have you come to that conclusion?

I'm not sure where your negativity comes from to be honest.

Dont think making new signings right now will make much difference, they will need time to settle.Diela said hes giving everybody a clean slate and i do think one or two of our signings from last summer will do well this year.

Do think we could be doing with a winger or 2 as derk is our only winger at moment, griffiths & mcgregor showed they can do a decent job there though.

Because like many here he is a self loathing, soup taking, hand wringing, miserable * who only gets any pleasure from Celtic when things go wrong so they can say 'told you so'.

I dont see any problem with last night ...
First of all we are still in preseason and with a new manager who has had a few weeks to get a team to play how he wants ..
We were playing a team who are well into the season at home..
I thought commons played well and was unlucky not to score ..
I thought Pukki contributed well when he was on and hope he starts next time out and big Derek showed some good signs of play too..
We didnt concede a goal so I am happy....

I don't think he's that great a footballer but neither was Craig Burley and he scored a shitload from the same position.

If he's given games he'll score goals.

Questioning Deila's ability is premature - and I have no doubt that the performance of the team will improve drastically - but last night's display was very poor. Over two legs, KR are the type of side that Celtic should be putting 10 past. Literally.

I think it's absolutely nuts to try and draw any meaningful conclusions from last nights game and anyone who tries to do so is an attention seeking bampot!

    Just saying...

All that can be said about last night is that we won. That wasn't Delia's team out there I don't think, he' still trying to implement his own system and more often that not last night the players reverted back to the sideways passing they're used too. A few more weeks and we should see some change in our style - hopefully anyways.

As for last night's score, Commons should have had a few, it was getting near a joke that he wasn't scoring with some of his chances, we hit the frame three times and it always felt like we would get one eventually. First game in charge, we won it, move on, the performances will get better

happy with the win, too early in the season to really take anything from that game other than a couple of points. Commons was utterly frustrating last night almost a sami type frustrating where he tries taking the world on. Am so he's an SPL standard player thats it, he can't cut it in europe. For a professional football player in his position hes quite simply far to slow. The other problem is Mulgrew seems to have carried on with that long left to right diactonal ball he plays which never comes off, please Rony, make him stop this!

several positives to take from the game in particular thought Johansen looks like he will only get better this season, good eye for a pass. Something we have unfortunately missed before.

Hopefully the pitch is better next week we will get a better idea of wha'ts going on then
